  • The ones used by blue badge holders when they cant be botherd to look for a free disabled space.

I qualify for both and still have issues!! Ive even parked accross two normal bays so I couldnt get out when there was no spaces and got a grilling from the security guy in asda!
Yes im disabled....yes I can do things you cant....but you can do things I cant so were equal! :D
  • complain to tesco about that security guard, that is imo harrassment and uncalled for.

i finally found the disabled bays in my local large tescos, its only been open about a year and i dont go very often, nor do i need or have a right to park in the disabled bays ...but its taken me this long to find them anyway. the entrance is opposite 4 aisles of normal parking spaces where iw ould ahve expected the disabled and mother and baby spaces to be. the mother and baby spaces are a couple fo aisles further away, and the disabled bays are the other side of those aisles. im assuming it works as non disabled cba to walk the further distance to have a larger space but does mean that people with mobility issues who need the spaces have farther to walk than anyone else. bonkers imo.

i do occasionally park in disabled bays at sainsburys, but only when the whole car park is empty because its 10mins til closing time.

A bit of a sexist comment. It's parent and child spaces. The ones used by blue badge holders when they cant be botherd to look for a free disabled space.
sorry, i mean parent and baby/toddler. it wasn't meant to be a sexist comment, honestly it wasn't.

Well as from today i can park in the disabled bays, my blue badge turned up.

must have a good read through all the paperwork

  • I cannot believe some of you are suggesting they complain about the security guard! He is only doing what he has been told is part of his job!

Yes some of the people may have been wrong to park in the disabled spaces but that doesn't make it right to park in a non-parking space - if a car was parked next to the trolleys I certainly wouldn't be taking care not to catch it with my trolley as I passed as it shouldn't be there.

Get some of them printed and then shove them on wiper blades on those who park in disabled paces without displaying a badge

My local Morrisons have told me that disabled blue badge holders can use P&C spaces when they are full which is often the case

I don't understand this. Why wouldn't you still take care?

Sure, the car shouldn't be there, but that doesn't mean that people shouldn't be bothered whether or not they scratched it. Of course accidents happen, but to take / return the trolley without being careful, knowing the car is there, isn't really a nice thing to do tbh.
