By the way, i won't be booking to go to pontins as i can't even afford £25 at the moment, but i hope all you that have booked have a great time, and a better experience than some of the others have had xx

  • My comments were actually firmly tongue in cheek....but joking aside, our Brean accomodation was unclean & the overall vibe of the place was dreadful.

And by the way - I never said anyone there was violent or criminal.....they just looked it, lol.

For the record we've not had a holiday this year...but even at £20...they can keep it - the place sucks canal water through its backside.

Thats fair enough, like i said i do like to hear other peoples opinions, and to be honest, hearing them has put me off going to pontins.
But please, try not to put anyone down "if you can't see the problem, you are the problem" is what you said.
There are some really good hard working honest families out there who are finding things one hell of a struggle at the moment, and we all want to treat our kiddies, we don't want them to miss out. It might be a dump at pontins but for kiddies, they don't care, going to the seaside and stuff is a real treat for them!

  • Has anyone booked??? I agree its not the best and need plenty of bleach but the kids generally enjoy, as long as you dont expect the ritz and take it for what it is, it can be enjoyable espically if its used as a base to explore england
    Thanks op

i dont see what the problem is?
if there are unsavioury people there then just ignore them.
when we went away this year * sun hol* we used the caravan as our base and spent the rest of our time out and about. not everything costs money and we had a lovely time.
yes there are people that ruin it for others but you know what, its everywhere, not just on holiday.
its a bargain.,sadly a bargain that we too cant afford either but i know theres a few that will appreciate the post and take up the offer.
tongue may have been in cheek but it still offended some :o
not me i will add :)

Been to pontins many times.... Is basic but does the job very well... And to be honest, you shouldn't be spending loads of time in your accommodation anyway, the clubs activities and night-life should be plenty to keep busy.

Just come back from southport on a sun holiday.... the staff were brilliant but due to the first 2 chalets they offered us had loads of damp in the bedroom (my OH has chronic bronchitis), the 3rd chalet having someone already in it and the fourth having no working shower we were unable to stay there. They gave us a full refund which meant we were able to get a b&b in blackpool for a couple of days.

I would go to the pontins at prestatyn again and would take up this offer but due to money we cant afford
