A Yugo and a BMW are very similar, yet they also differ in significant ways. :cool:0 -

It's a composite cable which, for something capable of putting out 1080p, is admittedly lame.0 -
OK, custardy, you win. :beer:Buy an XBox 360 for £30 less than before, order a £5 HDMI cable from Amazon while you're at it, and you're £25 up
I suppose it depends how you look at it.
As they're phasing out the 60GB version, you're only options will be the Arcade version or the Elite. So, for an Xbox with a HDD you're paying £30 more, admittedly with double the capacity of the older phased out model.Dave. :wave:0 -

it maybe they changed the spec. maybe i should hope not as it would put the value of my unused component cable up

Not one to disagree but during the 9 months that I went through 2 360's, I never actually bought anything from the marketplace. The whole concept of the points thing put me off as I hated that I would have to spend some arbitrary value for things and they're usually priced in such a way that you couldn't load the account with the exact amount of money so there's some left over.A Yugo and a BMW are very similar, yet they also differ in significant ways.
In the 2 years that I've had my PS3, I've bought a lot of stuff from the store (the ability to load exact amounts (provided it's above £5) to your account is better.
Still, the point stands I suppose that the microsoft Yugo is nowhere near as useable as the Sony BMW

lol why does it always end up this way? each console has its benifits and failures.
I own both but prefer the xbox mainly for the controller however prefer the PS3 menu system0 -

I have access to some 17,000 movies and TV shows on demand through my XBox 360, all included in the price of my Netflix subscription, thanks to XBox Live.
I would receive access to none of these with a PS3.lol why does it always end up this way? each console has its benifits and failures.
Agreed. They both have their strengths and weaknesses.
When it comes down to it, they're both very good consoles, and I'd personally be happy with either one.0 -

Good point but not applicable to the UK. No netflix here yet.I have access to some 17,000 movies and TV shows on demand through my XBox 360, all included in the price of my Netflix subscription, thanks to XBox Live.

I have 2 kids (lad 16 and girl 12) and a bad case of console OCD.... I have a PS3, Wii and 360 Elite. Now, if you want my 'non technical' opinion of the consoles its this:
Wii: Rarely played by 16 year old, 12 year old plays occasionally. Me and OH, virtually never now unless I'm on a Wii fit drive
PS3: Rarely played by 12 year old, Never off the thing by OH and 16 year old. I get to Little Big Planet once in a blue moon lol
XBox360: Rarely played by any of us really
PS3 wins every time in our house, 16 year old regularly plays his mates at Fifa online etc. He misses the ability to do that with the 360. Its the 'middle' console I guess with Wii being the big loser. Ironically, the Wii is the only 'modified' console we have, so no games to buy, yet so rarely used.0
