hi milann it is natural to be nervous before you start a new job... I am sure you will soon settle in and your last job while having lots of plus points including familiar faces also had negatives... now you have an opportunity to start again and make new friends.....
Go for it!
Hope tomorrow goes well tooAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Been munching choc and drinking cider this pm. Not had cider for years......
It has been in fridge for ages - plan is to eat all !!!! in house - ended up with loads of choc at end of term - just getting to end of it - it would have been RUDE not to eat it after having it bought for me LOL - then new job and NUTHER new start with a healthy eating regime and a bit more exercise. Debating whether or not to renew my gym membership - I did enjoy the swimming and tai chi sessions...... it did pay for itself to begin with - then the course I went on with work was on same night as tai chi...but I'll finish at 3 pm instead of 4.45 so could swim each evening instead of coming home and veging out....... might just do that as there is no way I can run..... and I've noticed my balance deteriorating since I packed tai chi in..... yes I'm rambling on and thinking via my fingers and keyboard!!
Off now before I bore you all to sleep

SH - I've just been reading your diary and decided I'll go for the gym membership on my cc reward card then transfer it to my 0% last time I looked it was £399 a year - like you said it's fitness and weight with me too - but I have real trouble with my ankle - which goes over really easily (broken ankles 3 times and metatarsal through this happening over the years) - I wear an instep from hospital and this helps a bit - tai chi really seemed to help but I've very nearly gone over a few times recently and I'm wondering if it's because I've not been going. SOooo after yo-yoing - will I won't I - I AM going to re-join - BOOT me HARD if it looks like I'm going to waste it PLEEEAASSSSEE.
I went to look after the boy I worked with years ago - he remembered me, so all went well. Biggest problem was being bored as I really just baby sat where as I used to do an intense therapy with him. But he didn't object to my presence or kick off in any way (he was known to do this in the past) which is just as well considering his size at 14 years old!! It's not often I get a chance of extra cash - I might actually put my name down at an agency for holiday work if my new wage falls short. I quite enjoyed the idea of extra cash - but I was always too tired after the intensity of last job.
Can't believe only got a few days left.

Glad today went well.
Can you maybe go back to tai chi?

Hi Milann
I have started by swimming and trying to do some exercises in the pool to try and get my body more used to it again... Having a proper induction on Friday when hopefully I will get a training plan...
I am also hoping to perhaps do boxing training if it is no contact and pilates...
I will definitely prod you to get your money's worthAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Tai Chi is part of the membership - along with a variety of classes which sound and look even SCARIER - so I tend to keep to swimming and Tai Chi when I go with an occasional visit to the gym - at one time they had a nutritionist there so I went through a 'no diet - healthy eating programme' with her - I will ressurect that programme next week - starting at week 1 - which is all about water intake and getting into the right frame of mind. I still have all the info somewhere and a lot of the tips have stuck with me - but won't do any harm going through it properly from the beginning again.
New job - new start and all that. It's embarrassing how many 'new starts' I have given myself - but a 'new job' is a definate visual barrier so is REALLY a NEW START.
They do yoga and Pilates in the membership too - but it is really hard to get onto the evening class - will have to investigate and see if I could manage a few more classes with my reduced hours
BUUUTTTT - I am stuck in waiting for a plumber to phone and arrange a date to come and look at my drippy boiler - it is about 4 years old and we have just realised it has a slow drip which shouldn't be there. Hope it's not too costly!! I could be doing all sorts of house worky..... but I'm on here instead.... oh well!!

Don't know how much the boiler will be - the plumber came about 3pm - it was a loose washer somewhere within!! SO will be invoiced - he also looked at the loo which dh repaired a month or so ago which also has a slow drip.... mmmm.... feel a pattern developing here. Told dh which part to get to repair it.
I decided to be a good girland finish deep cleaning my kitchen cupboards which I started a week or so ago. SO I can write a TADA list too as SH and a few others have done - think I'm going to like doing this - good motivation:T thanks for sharing:A
- I cleaned, sorted and made an inventory of tinned and dried food.
- Defrosted and sorted my freezer and fridge - made nuther list of contents
- decluttered worktops
- hoovered and mopped kitchen floor
- hoovered rest of house.
I am feeling trez virtuous:D
TOMORROW - my last ME day of the holidays - will get to the gym and renew my subscription - hopefully have swim, jaccuzzi and time in steam room. If not too shrivelled will venture into either Stocky or if feeling fit might even tackle Manchester for a tiny bit of retail therapy!! I feel the need for a new top purely in the name of confidence building for Monday
Going to Wales with DH on Saturday to train show and will call at balloon festival on way home.
I'll wait to see how Sunday unfolds - no plans as yet.
