Ended up phoning the loan company yesterday to see how much was left to pay - I was pleasantly surprised £1.350 and I transferred 1 bank transfer.... whilst I was doing that I had to remove a hearing aid - apparently there is a knack of using it on the phone which I certainly don't have LOL.When dh came home later that evening and I spoke to him - I realised I was an aid short of a pair LOL (my voice sounded funny) - I re-traced my steps trying to remember what I'd done with it - couldn't find it ANYWHERE - I had boxes of stuff out searching as I remember having it in my hand as I was on phone then went back to craft room sorting!!! One thought process led to another (I'm scary when I think!!) I couldn't remember what I'd done with £50 gift voucher I'd had as leaving pressie from work - so I was searching for both..... by 10pm last night - I'd emptied bins, been through boxes, up turned chairs - NO JOY.
I eventually found my hearing aid after stripping the bed back - as I'd sat on bed using phone I must have put it down and it slipped between duvet and pillow INTO the bed - and i'd put the voucher in a box with the cup that I'd had bouhgt me too - WHY anyway I was pleased to have found both...and how on earth did searching for hearing aid make me think about theatre gift voucher - scary LOL LOL LOL
Craft room is sparkly clean and fresh and I'm just about to do a bit of ironing and pack a few things for tomorrrow when I go to dd's. Am going out this afternoon to see one of our children and his mum from old job. So giving myself a 'talking to' the other day must have paid off
Have a good weekend everyone - I'm planning toJanuary spends - £587.580 -
have a great weekend yourself and glad you found your voucher and hearing aid.0

Had a lovely weekend at dd's but true to form it rained!! Didn't stop us going out though we managed to dodge the heaviest showers.
Arrived home at tea time. I was very good and had tea from freezer - I was tempted to go out and eat but resisted - am currently polishing my halo LOL.
Off to ds house for a few days to help decorate - just emulsioning. I am quite looking forward to it - I love painting. It is a few years since I did here and it will probably need doing by next year - think dh is pleased I've got myself a 'project' and not getting itchy palms to do here over the holidays.

I had the week painting with ds - hard work but very satisfying. We finished the week with a day out as he bought new accessories to set off and a lovely meal out. So a tiring but enjoyable week - it passed so quickly.
Over the weekend myself and dh just pottered all day Saturday and went into Wales on SUnday - it was lovely in the sunshine. Not very MSE though - coffee, ice cream and a meal out - OUCH!!
A friend from my old work came round today - we chatted and put the world to rights all day. By the time she went I couldn't believe just how tired I was - I think my busy week must have caught up with me.
I have a letter to go for a medical on Wednesday - for my new job. I'm hoping they'll pass me as I have handed my notice in, had leaving pressie and everything......quite what will happen if they decide in their wisdom I'm not fit I don't know. Can't go back - can't start new job!!!!!!
I suspect it is a formality as I have had to have medicals in the past - as soon as they see the name of a bone condition that affects my family (even though I only have it very mildly) they tend to panic. At least I can say I have done this line of work for several years and not had any problems from the kids - or they from me LOL. This same department certified me fit for work after my ops too - so hopefully I've no reason to be concerned - all the same I'll be glad when it is over with!!
I've nothing other than a little light tidying and hoovering planned for tomorrow. I might even get as far as making some birthday cards to have in ready for the hundreds of birthdays my friends and family seem to have between now and Christmas.
