  • I want to finally add an additional statement to the whole section! Financial institutions such as HSBC, Lloyds TSB etc only trust certain agencies anyway! I have checked around and Darnell is not listed on the HR system.

  • Hey guys,i'm glad to read all these responses about Darnell Int. In particular to teddyrukspin for good info.
I got a call from these this morning, the woman went on more about my experiences and what my goals in the future were and then finally went on about the CeFA course and that i'd have to pass these whilst being trained up. I asked the question well why can't the client provide support. Most corporate client will pay for study support but she says that we have a deal in place with them and that our in-house training is favoured by our candidates. I was going to research the company after getting off the phone......and now i'm glad I have!!
  • i think all these posts are a bunch of bollox. I was in the same situation as most of you and did think this was a scam, but i followed through and did the course and surprise i got the job at the end. I must admit they took atleast 2 weeks to contact me but still came through. My money wasnt stolen from me, i paid for a course and got my moneys worth. My partner just completed the course and is going for a 2nd interview on monday. I think you should get all your facts together before commenting.
I agree with gforce786, please comment if you have recieved a good service from darnell.

    Hi Guys

    I agree with Gforce786

It was about six months ago when i applied for a trainee financial advisor position which i saw on totaljobs. The advertisement stated that there was a minimum requirement of a CeFA qualification. Being fully aware of the minimum requirement i applied with no success. I then recieved a call from a young lady asking about my application. She informed me that i was not shortlisted for the position because of my qualifications. I then decided to speak to there training department which i discovered they had after being told by this young girl. I then call them and booked the full cefa qualification at £895. It took me then 2 months to complete and passed. I then contacted this young girl to inform her and she told me to forward my updated CV to her. 1 week later i recieved a telephone call from a well known high street bank asking me to come in for an interview. I went in and today i am employed as a senior senior advisor having gained my cas status.

Having read these statements above, i can only say that my experience in dealing with darnell international has been an absolute pleasure, I wouldnt be where i am today if it wasnt for darnell.

Im not saying that darnell is the best company, what i am saying is that darnell is the only one that has really worked for me!

Erm? How did you get or gain your CAS status?

Will wait for their response! And I suggest the group should too. Many financial advisers, FSA and financial institutions know how long it takes to obtain CAS. Do they even know what CAS stands for?

hey all, last week darnell international set up an assesment day for me, when i arrived there i felt welcome and i soon found out over 40 interviewees was sent from darnell international which at the time felt normal but when we were on break we started chatting and this forum wastop of the conversation . i signed up for the CeFA module 1 course 3 months ago and completed it in 3 weeks although the consultant told me it could be done in 2 weeks. never the less, as soon as i passed my exam they contacted me advising me they will then forward me to the next interview dates.
i for one can assure you all that darnell international is not a scam as i have recieved probably the best service since i've came here. I was offered the job and unfortunatly i had to refuse it as it required me to relocate to Bath. I urge all the people i met at the interview last week in london to add your comment and tell us your stories to prove Darnell international is not a scam and that they do provide a good service.

ps. to the guys at darnell the new CeFA look, looks insane!!!!!! good work guys.

    Thanks Gforce786.:T

This company are unbelievable. Now there's a slight possibility that I'm wrong and it was all a major coincidence but please read my post, watch my video and then make your own mind up.

Right, I applied for a "Trainee Financial Advisor" position via jobsite.co.uk on Wed 14th October at about 10am. I had a voicemail from Jason @ Darnell international regarding my cv he had received.

I phoned him back and left a voicemail and I received a call back at around 5.30. (Please note the phone lines are always conveniently engaged, but they will call you back if they think your a potential mug.)

So Jason said he was very impressed with my cv. One fact alone that I had nearly 9 years of cold calling experience was enough for him to make me his 150% number 1 candidate for the job.
He said he was with his client right now, they had already seen my cv, and he was going to sit down with them and play back the recorded phone call. But they were already very impressed.
He didn't mention any costs or upfront payments at this time. He ended the call by saying "Well I don't usually like to jump the gun, but congratulations, your my number one candidate, the job is yours"

That last statement seemed a bit dodgy to me. Even though he hadn't asked for any money at this point, so I googled the words "Darnell International [TEXT DELETED]" when I got home and I came across this forum.

I subsequently checked my emails and he had attached a pricing list with these ridiculous figures for different levels of training. So that then confirmed to me it was the same [TEXT DELETED] I was reading about on this forum.

Then I looked at what time the post on the forum from "gforce786" was posted. The post is quoted above.

Firstly this was the 1st and only positive post on the forum at the time, and very coincidently it was posted around an hour after I had spoken to Jason.
Even more coincidently Mr "gforce786" who has great things to say about "Darnell International", turned down the job because he would of had to relocate to Bath. How crazy is that I happen to live in Bath.

    [TEXT DELETED]

So I called him again on Thursday morning and left a voicemail for him to call me back. I then rigged my phones headphone port up to my MPC, and used the webcam to record my own audio. That way I could sync it up in windows movie maker afterwards, and he wouldn't be able to hear a bleep like when recording a conversation through the handset.

    Watch the video here.

Sorry I can't post links as a new user. My video has just been posted so might not show up in youtube search yet.
So search youtube for "chieffrokka", then go to my page and you can see the video from there.
It should come up with some Michael Jackson remix videos of mine so click on my account and find my new video entitled Darnell International.
If anyone does have rights to post links on this forum please could you add a link as a reply so its easier for people to find

He makes some ridiculous claims including:

It would take ONLY 8 days to complete the course with the sister company studying just 1 hour per day from home.

He's operating under a legally binding contract so he can't reveal who the client is, or he might lose his job.

He happened to of been reading the forum earlier that day, but there all candidates who they've been trying to contact.

The guys so full of crap its unbelievable. I lead him on for about 5 minutes before letting him know I've seen the forum, I then let him speak crap for another 4 minutes b4 I started getting nasty on him.

It was quite enjoyable really. [TEXT DELETED]. He eventually puts the phone down.

Since that phone call I notice a few other happy Darnell customers happen to of popped up and started posting.
Including Tommy Huisgenoot. That's a good name isn't it.
    [TEXT DELETED].
