small spend on tulip bulbs to make garden pretty in spring, but also got loads of free daffs too so could have been worse.
think I saw a flicker of a lightbulb in MrLurkers eyes tonight, in 2 years time he will be debt free - that includes his joint stuff with ex - & he now thinks its a better idea to wait to change the car until then!!!! wonders will never cease!
am thinking about trying to get another job delivery catalogues or something to help ease the impact of the lower salary - its going to be some time before I can volunteer for overtime I think & every little helps....

HI do you do any of the £10 a day challenge stuff, cashback sites and gambling loophooles......? Might be worth a go - I had a £25 profit on them today plus my winnings of £48..... You do need to know what you are doing - but there is a thread and article explaining everything....Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

congratulations to Mr Lurker on his flickering light bulb, won't be long till it's on full time and he's driving your loopy about MSE lol
well done for not using the vending machine, why don't you put the money you would have spent in the machine away each day that you resist it and then you can treat yourself to something really nice at christmas time.0 -

I've seen people talking about that, but am a bit apprehensive!
was doing 9p's (wow) worth of clicks a day on kelkoo but thats slipped a bit since started working again...it is something to look into.
I'd happily ebay stuff, but the last lot I listed nothin sold!!!
shopping list is at the ready, its long so I think it will be painful on the purse. I will NOT buy anything that isn't on the list.......unless theres a very good reason for it!!

oh what a week, it must be autumn cos I am cold & shattered!!!
was payday on Tuesday - the first real one since April and.....all I can say is:eek::eek::eek::eek:.
The budget is tighter than I thought, tis tighter than a tight thing that has just shrunk (figured that was a better thing to say than tighter than a rats....you can guess the rest)
Theres very little leeway, so I'm going to need to get more money coming in again - eventually I'll be able to do overtime in new job, but not until I'm less of a burden on everyone else, which could be a few months yet.
brain is overloading with new work stuff, so am feeling pretty run down which is quite unusual
I need to check elec & gas usage for the year & do comparison on prices, EDF was looking promising (& that gets serious quidco cash)
On a plus side, my Xmas fund is doing well & will hit target for that next month - might even manage to be organised this year.....first time for everything - less than 100 days now I'm told!
right, am off to check quidco n stuff & think of ideas to get more more money.....I could be some time!I do not make mistakes, I learn lessons.I work to live, not live to work.I love to live & live to love.Good enough is exactly that.0 -
woo hoo its Friday:j:j
& I had a minor breakthrough with the joblearning stuff today, & I practically skipped out of the office because for the first time my head wasn't spinning!
Today was NSD, need to check diary & see how many others i managed this week, think it was just one, but am still quite happy as i have managed to keep a nice bit of foldy money in purse
tried another recipe, which was v scrummy & more importantly simple to do - mediterranean chicken, also made a pasta salad thing instead of buying one , that was a little bland but just about edible
tomorrow am off to see a friend & try & kidnap one of her 3 new kittens - I'd take them all but I think she'd notice that!
Then will do the shopping chore & put petrol in the car - first time since the beginning of August!
Meal plan & shopping list is work in progress but I think I've talked myself out of buying the economy gastronomy book - still want it, but its going on the Crimbo list....
am a little peeved though - having sold loads of cds to music magpie I now see that they could have gone through quidco!!!! grrr!
off to catch up with few diaries & check out the up your income thread....
have good weekend peepsI do not make mistakes, I learn lessons.I work to live, not live to work.I love to live & live to love.Good enough is exactly that.0 -
