hurrah mums home! Still on anti-biotics and tired but on the mend....Trying to sort rehoming her cats (x my cats) as lodger wants them moved which is fair enough as she said it was temporary but I didnt realise PDSA have a 3 month waiting list! We can have one here but dotty will attack Isoke so that wouldnt work.
Niece is coming for the weekend so will pick her up from station this eve...other than that nothing specific planned.
    Off to have a snoozle!

    Three Men on a Hike

Three men were hiking through a forest when they came upon
    a large raging, violent river.
Needing to get to the other side,
    The first man prayed:

'God, please give me the strength to cross the river.'

!!!!!!! .. God gave him big arms and strong legs
And he was able to swim
Across in about 2 hours, having almost drowned twice.

After witnessing that, the second man prayed:
    'God, please give me
Strength and the tools to cross the river'

!!!!!!! .. God gave him a rowboat and strong arms
    And strong legs and he
Was able to row across in about an hour
    After almost capsizing once.

Seeing what happened to the first two men,
    The third man prayed:
'God, please give me the strength,
    The tools and the intelligence
    To cross the river'

!!!!!!! .. He was turned into a woman.
    She checked the map,
    Hiked one
    Hundred yards up stream
    And walked across the bridge.

'If at first you don't succeed, do it the way your wife told you!'

**was sent this and thought I would share it with you!! Fairly busy day today with church this am (lovely - mum slept through the whole sermon!!) and then got cats back = Dotty delivered to new daddy (shes never had a daddy before!) and Poppy here - currently being very unfriendly to Isoke and spitting at her...fingers crossed they become friends soon! Just had a very long sleep but obviously needed it. Have had a cracking headache all day and just cant shift it...will chill this eve and try finish my baby cardi. Today almost a nsd but yesterday spent a fair bit - lunch out, dvd's etc...niece says i talk about money all the time and my response is that she talks about how much she buys and were just on opposite spending habits and that I USED to be like her lol!

Quick update! Mum on the mend and feeling much better than she was and hasnt been sick which is a huge relief as its so draining for her and was getting her down.
No news re w***...seems at this rate that we may hit the anniversary! Bizarre and I would have thought they would want this sorted...just dont understand it!
Just finishing a baby cardi that I made for a guy in church's baby - very sweet so far but the pattern is off so trying to regig or will have to undo it and start the arms again...
Other than that not much to report...trying not to spend as spent a fair bit last two weeks with this and that. Mums paid my car tax for the year so were now even and this months money can go for overspend! Off for a snooze...:) Back to GP on Thurs to up my tabs as still not having significant impact...I know part of that will be that mums been ill etc but would have hoped to feel better than I do by now iykwim.
Want to start the allotment soon...a friend did some for me last week so at least that will stave off eviction!

  • I like the story above.

Hmm difficult one re the tabs. Obviously the fact that your situation has dragged on is not helping at all and also you are in a bit of a mix with your mum being poorly.
Just reading outside the box- but it seems to me that you are coping really well and are not giving yourself credit for this. You are stressed and worried so I think that talking to GP would be good- but maybe see about exploring as many options as possible. I think that it will be a snowball effect once it all begins to happen and you have to take account of that as well- i would hate for you to have a stronger dose and then just be drained and feeling numb. If that makes sense.

I was thinking along the same lines as you BOB..ISOM doesn't give herself credit for the obvious amount of stress that has come about from the added stress of her mum being ill...you are coping incredibly well xxx
