In haste as must go to bed. Popped in to see mum for couple of hours but didnt stay ages as felt really tired today. She is feeling better in herself and has a scan this am - probably a large gall stone so shes said she wants it out. Didnt manage to see docs today to talk about options and also whats going on re salmonella they mentioned yesterday...Most importantly mum is much more herself and told them she wont leave till they sort it!
Not too bad on spends but did have mcdonalds for lunch and cancelled ww - just not the right time! ok bed I go!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -

well it worked; she had horrible tube down throat to insert a stent and try to get rid of gallstone and shoule be home tom. Salmonella diagnosis was wrong - its another gut infection caused by antibiotics so she may have a different antibiotic to kill it. If not just home tomm to rest with probiotics. Car in for its mot tom am so will go for brekkie while they do that! For reasons unbeknown to me I booked it in for 8.45am! Quite bonkers!
Isoke bought me a bird today; very gently held in her mouth and it was still alive so managed to get it and release it, seemingly without damage but a rather disgruntled cat who didnt understand why I wasnt overjoyed at the gift!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Your Mum is at least getting the right treatment now.0 -
Blooming cats - DD1 resused a wild baby rabbit the other day, then I saw my older cat with a mouse in her mouth. Next thing was a baby bird in our garden well away from the trees so guessing cat again. Thankfully Mum did come back the next day. We kept it in a box away from the cats and in the shed at night as per RSPCA.
Glad to hear Mum us progressing
Sorry to hear about WW Im int he same boat "what diet"?!!!:j0 -
Hope your mum is ok.
My cat has been bringing me bleeping rabbits.

bless them theyre just bringing us presents although my mates cat used to bring her half dead rats and drop them on her pillow EEEEWWWWWWWWWWW
Isoke was incredibly gentle with it so maybe a conflict between her cat instinct and loving personality...like her mummy she is a complex animal lol.
Didnt have a great day if Im honest and feeling low...know Im tired so will get an early night and with mum being poorly its been a worry but hope she will be home again tom...think she has emotionally moved here which is lovely as I love her being here but well need to sort her flat out etc so she can get somewhere here. Theres no immediate rush though...

Hope you are ok ISOM. Well done for fighting on your Mum's behalf but with everything else going on you are bound to feel drained. Take care of yourself. Isoke must have sensed something to bring you a gift!
