Morning All
MSD - what a pain but glad OH is ok
Hello & welcome all newbies
Late for me, went to bed late and had a bad nights sleep so on go slow this morning & already had about 4 phone calls. Gonna jump in the shower in a minute and decide what to do about the washing as its raining here already.
Promised the kids McD's for lunch as its their last day, OH will meet us there as has a delivery nearby & take DS off with him for the rest of the day, DS loves it & I think OH likes the company.
This afternoon will be spent putting all the pe kits together and making sure everything is ready. Only have the tinest amount of ironing to do so that will definately get done :j
Oh & have some essential banking & stuff to do in the office but hope to get that out of the way asap.
Spag bol for dinner tonight but at the moment never know what time OH will be in.
Anyway off now, have a great day.x0 -
Sitting here with the SAD lamp, sure that isn't supposed to happen just yet, but the weather this summer has been so dark! Anyway, gives me the excuse to sit and surf!
Must get going in a minute. I sat and planned meals till half term yesterday much to son's amazement! But plans will be T*ts up, as I've already taken the opportunity of what was on the shelf in Aldi (just opened in our village!) and what was left in the fridge to make yesterday's meals. Going to do some fridge clearance today and review the plan.
Still can't iron much at a time and only smaller things, as arm is still not 100%.
Tried to tidy the front garden yesterday, but it started to rain as I went out. Did however get ds to help me to get my planter done, working in the garage. All not lost. IT's supposed to rain heavily here today, so migh try and nip out and do 10 mins before.......................oh dear! it's starting! I'll start with the fridge!"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Good morning!
I hope your oh is ok MSD.
Welcome Pixie, I think you're very brave too.
Welcome to yesterday's newbies too.
We had a great day at Newby Hall yesterday, until it poured it down!!! We had waterproofs but it was so bad we had to shelter under some small trees (no lightening!) but I'd just bought dd an icecream for being really good-she did look funny-absolutely drenched and licking away at her cone.
Plan today is to meet my friend and her ds, probably going swimming, as he starts school tomorrow. If we go swimming we'll have lunch out and then I think fish is on the mealplan for tonight-I'll have to go and check the thread as I've misplaced my written one!
Going to see if I can get an hours ironing done before we go anywhere this morning and then finish it tonight.
See you later,

Have been AWOL a few days as it's been crazy busy here (more so than normal). On Friday night we had a leaving party for a member of the lab, on saturday a suprise party for somebody in the lab downstairs, on Sunday my group went to a folk/rock type outdoor music festival in Cropredy (which is where old hippies go to die - I think some of my group were not convinced, but I quite enjoyed it, it was really relaxed :rotfl: my boss organised it after picking up a flyer at the folk festival a few weeks ago), Monday we went to Reading in the morning (that was stupid given we hit the festival traffic head on), went for a walk in the woods then had friends over in the evening, Tuesday I worked 16 hours, proof read two chapters of a PhD thesis and today I was back in at 6 am*and breathe* although I have been playing chess against the HPLC computer all morning and just thought I'd say hello as I have come up to my office to swap the ipods over (battery death!)
OS? What's that? :rotfl: I did the laundry, blitz-cleaned the flat, made sugar cookies, repaired the sink monster and cooked roast chicken when we had people round. I made chicken stock in the slow cooker yesterday and soaked some pulses for tea. And I made more mini food from clay because I was bored (whilst waiting for dinner to cook and thrashing OH and his friend at Carcassonne without even trying - they take so long to move).I think if I had been born 10 years later they would have been feeding me ritalin for breakfast
Dinner will be pasta with cold chicken and asparagus for OH, chickpeas and aspargus for me.
Stef - did you have a good time at Reading?
I have to post a few ebay items today - all overseas, so I have to go the post office. I have a couple of people who haven't paid yet, so I might give it a day and post tomorrow in one go.
Right - back to workhave a good day all, cel x

morning everyone. hope everyone is having a good day so far.
it is really grey here. not raining but looks like it has . feels very chilly in the air. gorgeous. i am such a winter person. i was hoping to get lots of washing on line but think it might have to go on airer. trying to not use Tumbly until i really have to .
i'm making spag bol with a home made cheesy garlic bread for tea. and planning to make a victoria sponge cake when my baby boy goes up for his nap.
i made a chicken and mushroom pie last night. i tried for the first time ever a tin of sliced mushrooms in it. i thought i would try them as i find mushrooms always seems to go over before i get chance to use them all. and ok so they were a bit odd shapes and thinner than i would slice but when mixed in with the pie you coulnd't really tell. so i was very impressed. even hubby who didn't like the thought of tinned mushrooms said it was really nice.
i've still got lots of cleaning to do , but while kids home it a bit like shoving the snow in a blizzard so think will wait till bak at school and then do a deep clean.0 -
Morning peeps
weather here is a bit unsettled at the mo, sunny at the back of the house and gloomy at the front  we`ve had quite a bit of rain in the night so most of the washing is hung indoors, i`ve still put the thicker things out in the hope that they will be a bit drier but not too much to dash out and fetch in quickly if we get a downpour IYKWIM.
Sausages are in the remoska and when they are done i shall take the houndies out for their morning walk. I found a recipe for low carb mushroom soup yesterday, looks tasty so i shall whip that up before i leave for w*rk later.
Just had a look at my bramble jelly and it dosen`t seem to have set properlyi shall leave it a couple more days and at the weekend if it`s still the same i shall reboil it and cross my fingers.
MSD - Glad to hear that you are both ok, shame about the car though.
Pixie - welcome :hello:
Tru - that is one impressive amount of fruit :j
I`m off to check on the snags, have a lovely day everyone.

Morning All!
Haven't posted lately, been away last week with DD and Fiance at OH's.
Took them to Portmouth, and Arundel Castle. Used my chair so I had a good day too. People were soo nice to me:j Funny how things have changed over the past few years. Once upn a time, being disabled meant that you were a second class citizen, now you get made to feel really special!:rotfl:
Took my appeal letter into the job centre yesterday. Got another medical on the 15th. I suppose that I'm gonna have to jump through their hoops for a while. Hope it gets sorted soon.:o
My shingles are clearing up now. Just really bad redness, and pain still. Hope they go soon.:o
DD is feeling really well. Scan shows a good heartbeat this time. Fingers crossed!
DS is waitng to start Uni on the 21st.
MSD= Sorry to hear about the accident. Glad OH is okay tho.
Kathy= Glad Summer and DIL are okay.
N9eav wouldn't want your job for anything!:rotfl:
