DD loves her new bike :j & I love it too as we can finally go out on some longish rides & I know that she can keep the same pace as me now she has an equal sized bike. We were out for an hour riding along the towpath & I'm sure I burned up loads of calories. Right up to the moment when we stopped off at the bakery & I felt compelled to buy a bacon & cheese yummy thing all wrapped up in puff pastry .

Had shed loads of home-job work to do :D & have just spent the last half hour crying with laughter at Shooting Stars, now watching Miranda :rotfl:

Had to pop back to the co op today as we've run out of ice cream & lollies & the overpriced man with annoyingly tinkly sounding van was looming . Co op offer of 8 x Fabs + 6 x Cornetto 2 for £3 offer = 14 x mega cheap ice creams :D

Am not ashamed to admit that I stood in front of the freezer working out the best deal, definitely not the 3 x Magnums + 4 x Nobbly Bobbly combination - sorry DD :p

The buttery stuff was still on a bogof so I grabbed 2 & just to round things off nicely I got 2 x £2 coins in my change which means I can now pay £20 in to the bank & have one to start off the next batch :D

    As to friendly post previous to this;

Z - whilst I dont disagree with you - I think you just like to take the opposite view :p & although I do appreciate your positive responses, I still prefer to be unshackled & free, thank you :D.

Even an equal partnership would struggle to get past the fact that I want to do what I want to do & when it suits me. I have a low boredom threshold & really cannot imagine ever settling with one person for the rest of my life. Not everyone seeks or even feels the need for a permanent partner, in the same way that not everyone feels the need to or wants to have children.

    Souk08 - I hear ya loud & clear :D:A

I might wander up to the allotment tomorrow so better get off to bed now to conserve my energy

    night night

Just poping in briefly before I head off to the dentist

    * is rather scared, both about the actual work to be done & also the cost *

Woke up to a clear blue sky, so cleaned the ktichen & intended to go to the allotment this morning ... that plan went awry after the ome-job driver appeared shortly after 8 with about 3 hours worth of work :(.

DD then decided she didnt feel well & that today is pyjama day so I just got on with the work. Hey ho, all done & I've earned enough to top up the cash funds.

The savings account funds are now really depleted as I've had the revised Gas bill & just paid that online - £70.04p. somehow, I need to replace the £50 I didint pay in last month or I wont have enough to get through winter. Interestingly they have provided an estimate of my useage for the next 12 months & what they think it will cost me, which is about £470.

The cds for my sister arrived today so I can post them to her & she should receive them in time for her birthday :).

Right, I'd better go & prepare myself now _pale_ & when I come back I need to start working on a new budget which includes saving towards dentistry costs & also work out how wealthy I will be when potentially living without home-job income

    Bye for now

I survived & am only slightly numb still.

I had an accident when I was 7 which resulted in losing half of my front teeth so by now I am well used to having injections & drills etc. I have to have them 'redone' every few years & I have always been very self conscious of my teeth & hate having photos taken so although it was a bit costly, it will make me feel better about myself & give me more confidence :D.

This time my lovely dentist has done a brilliant job & encouraged me to have the ones either side done as well & although I hardly recognise myself, it does look good. She was so pleased with her work that I am now going to be in her portfolio of 'before & after' shots :rotfl:.

Yes, it did go on my Barclaycard :shhh: but as I'm within 36 hours of clearing & closing the Co Op CC & have pledged to shop at Tatco  to save money & keep on with heinous home-job until DF then I think I can justify it in the way that dear & much missed sarahb has taught me :D:p:D.

I know that. Just people need to be honest with themselves about why they want to be alone, and not to think "they're all <insert favourite epithet here>" - because they're not.

I think what I said was that I didnt want to be shackled & couldnt imagine being with just one partner for the rest of my life. I want to be free from the responsiblity of having a relationship.

That is not the same as wanting to be alone :p

I do however, agree that I might well have commitment issues :rotfl:

Well, technically I cant afford it either, but I am viewing it as an investment. I asked my dentist about having the bottom ones whitened to match up & she said it was unnecessary to have it done professionally & that the home kits were perfectly adequate, so it might be worth checking them out.

I woke up to absolute carnage in the hall this morning :( some poor creatures blood everywhere, but no sign of the corpse so I'm just hoping I dont discover it in 3 days time _pale_

It's been a spend, spend, spend day here in Lulaville

DD & I whizzed over to Windsor for some fun - I used to love living there & I do miss the vibe of living somewhere lively with stuff going on all the time, as it has everything within walking distance but I have to say that the tourists do still get on my nerves & I dont miss them at all :p.

    We found a fab antiques shop with the most gorgeous hat department - random but somehow perfectly suited :D. I did buy a few small bits for DD & we had some nice food treats too but mainly I saved loads of money;

I did not spend £1,080 on a gorgeous leather sofa in the Laura Ashley sale - parlty because the thought of losing all that lovely quidco cashback was unbearable but mainly because DD dragged me out of the shop saying "No ! Bad Mummy " in a very scary voice .

I did not even go in to River Island, Monsoon, Next, Topshop, H&M, French Connection, Fenwick, Pandora, Links etc etc etc. I faltered at the door of Benefit & was one step away from being made over but just knew that I would leave with armfuls of divine & yet un needed goodies so backed away quick :D

On the way home we popped in to visit my grandmother who seems to be making a good recovery from her recent illness so that has lifted my spirits :).

Came home & discovered the electricity bill of £53.45 so I paid that immediately & am now just waiting till my wages hit my account so I can pay off the Co op CC & close the account  .

We're going to do the nasty Tatco thing early & I've been reading various frugal threads over on Old Style so I shall throw caution & my pride to the winds & try to shop as cheaply as possible - 10p shortbread finger biscuits here we come :rotfl:

I am absolutely loving Big Brother, the random appearances just crack me up ... not sure i could have walked away from the postman stripper though :heartpuls

    Morning all,

just whizzing by to say that I have just made the final £100 payment to the Co Op CC today so the balance = £000 :p

I'm just about to write a letter to close my account, load up the washing machine then shoot up to Tatco fill my trolley with nasty value goods, fill my fuel tank with lovely petrol to take me wherever I want & my tyres with air to make sure it costs me less :rotfl:

    back later ....
