We have bought Andrex for years, but have recently changed to Charmin due to the reduction in quality of Andrex, we normall get Charmin big packs when they are BOGOF at Makro; today bought some Waitrose quilted to try whilst i was there, which seems ok too.0

Does anyone know if Nicky is sold in Northern Ireland?
I'm glad to have spotted this thread, my OH was laughing at me the other day when I said that Andrex had got worse. Going to show him this now!
Thanks0 -
Andrex is awful now, worse than own brands. My Nan used to have Andrex and it was fantastic paper and quite cheap. Now it's thin and she even noticed as soon as they changed the style, she bought up the old packs in Tesco and ever since they've been rubbish. That was probably 5 years ago now as well.
I had some from B&M, 18 rolls for £2.99, not bad stuff either.0 -
Somerfield have some really good offers on toilet roll- sometimes branded, sometimes own brand but generally less that £3 for 9 rolls.
I'll definitely check out Nicky at Farmfoods though as that is even cheaper.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -

Not there and then, you understand, but back in the privacy of my own wee house
there is one in Inverness but theres no parking outside as it's on Academy Street, there is a morrison or somerfied (I forget which ) nearby though where you can park and just nip through to Farmfoods. I've not been there for ages but it was a really great store with lots of bargains0 -
I like the Lidl 'quilted' loo roll, I can't remeber what its called but its £2.99 for 10 rolls and it has pink flowers on it.
Once when I couldn't be bothered to go to lidl and bought Tesco's quilted my OH told me to stop buying cheap loo roll :rotfl:Debt £31,184.05 - DFD - Jan 2015!!!Next target - Barclaycard £1000.00/965.29PAD from 20.12.10 ~ £1318.29NSD Challenge ~ Jan 10/10, Feb 10/10, March 10/13£365 in £365 Challenge ~ £120.06Sealed Pot Challenge member #11540 -
i buy the discount brand springforce at tesco 9 for 2 pounds
Me too. I had always bought Andrex before but they were slowly getting worse. The quality became terrible so I decided to switch. Picked up a pack of Springforce in tesco and it is great. To me, it feels thicker and better quality than andrex and the price is fantastic.
