InaPickle getting out of a pickle!

I know the feeling. I had a nap, then finished a book I've been near to finishing for ages. Then I read a short story, and am now starting another book.
I've not read for a few months, but I said to myself that I want to get through two books a month for the year, totalling 24 books. I was doing brilliantly at the start, but am now lagging: I'm only on no 13, and should be up to no 16 at this point. Still, the next one's interesting, so it shouldn't last long. I wonder what I'll read after that? *Scratches chin*Please call me 'Pickle'

It didn't: I just finished book no13, Ricky Tomlinson's autobiography 'Ricky'. It's brilliant. I'd highly recommend it, not for all the showbiz tales, but for the account of his two year stint in prison as a result of striking about pay and conditions in the building industry. It was brilliant.
Don't know what I will read next. *Scratches head* The book box is still very full, so it's not as thought there isn't a lot of choice.
Spent £2.99 on a muffin and coke today at work: only had a 15 minute break and didn't have time to go anywhere else other than the Millie's muffin concession just outside work as I didn't make and bring a lunch. Naughty Pickle!
Showed mum how to use the breadmaker last night as reading instruction booklets seems to be against her religion. The result was one rather lovely white loaf. I think not mum knows how to use it, it will be baking bread more often. We will get adventurous with brown/sweet breads in the near future. Baby steps...Please call me 'Pickle'

:rotfl: You know, I was thinking about you every time I looked at the cover of the book! :rotfl:
And don't worry...it was one of 6 books I bought at a charity garden party for the grand sum of £1.20. The money all went to charity, not to El Branso!
P.S. PM me your address and I'll send it to you to read! :rotfl: :rotfl:Please call me 'Pickle'

Thank you so much for the offer (and I am glad you gave him no money) but you will understand I would not have it in my home, not even to lite the fire with - phuh but the sentiment of the offer of a book was greatly appreciated
Don't think I would even fly Virgin even if they were cheapest!
