good luck with the job...hope you get it0

Just had job interview (all morning job with a battery of tests thrown in). It seemed to go pretty well. As well as can be expected, at any rate.
I should hear about a second interview pretty quickly, apparently.
Now off to get myself some bargain beauty essentials and then do more work experience CVs etc.
P.S. Need to write up about A&L and CC when I have the time later.
Keeping my fingers crossed for you, glad it went well :rotfl:Mortgage Aug 12 £165K, Aug 19 £0
ISA challenge start 2019 £3000/£1500 (50%)0 -
I heard back about the job today: apparently it was considered that 'the position might not be challenging enough' given my 'evident intelligence' and that I was, essentially, too ambitious (it was them what said that, not me)!
You're damned if you do, and damned if you don't as best friend just told me.
In other news, a lady I vaguely know who has set up a film company in Leeds (and a good one, at that!), is advertising for a secretary. This leads to a new dilemma: it would a brilliant job for me to get into the film industry, but it's minimum wage and means either getting to/from Leeds every day (no mean feat given where I live), or moving to Leeds (again), which would be tough on the minimum wage.
What to do, what to do?
I think I'm going to apply for it, then worry about the rest later on.Please call me 'Pickle'

There is no point in negative thought, it takes up time and energy which could be used in a positive, happy way!

Don't know. Think I should just apply first and worry about it later cos if I think about it, I would talk myself out of it as it's nearly impossible to conceive of it working...I think it's full time, though.
God (if (s)he exists) is testing me. This is giving me something I want just that bit too far out of my reach to realistically get it, but I can't not try.
That probably makes no sense to anyone else, but it sure does to me!Please call me 'Pickle'

Have just applied to a rather illustrious company coming to my local area, offering jobs of the type I would like.
I hope they like me, but I fear that they will be horribly, horribly oversubscribed with better qualified people than I.
On the upside, I finally did it!Please call me 'Pickle'

Oh, that's not that company - that's a different one. The one with the stupid number of people applying is the one I just applied to, and won't hear anything back for a while.
I know I need to have a bit more confidence in myself, but I seem to have picked the hardest industries to get into! Particularly without relevant qualifications. However, there's no way I'm prepared to stump up more cash for training until I know EXACTLY what I want to do, and what will get me there. Please call me 'Pickle'
