Hi Pickle - loving that general lack of overdraft :)

I wouldn't worry too hard about trying to keep your credit card in check (although I know you'll keep it under control). If you think about it, it seems perfectly natural to expect some growth on the balance, as it is now doing the 'work' that used to be split between it and your overdraft.

Hoping that May can be a successful month money and diet wise for me too. I've been gradually reducing the spending after the initial euphoria of my DFD, but it seems that circumstances are trying to derail my good intentions. For example, my brother's stag (weekend coming) has already cost me £169, brother bought us all tickets to a football match from a reseller (another £71) and of course there's beer money. Am I being grumpy when I say that £350+ is pretty unreasonable for a short weekend away?

Diet will need to be improved too. Don't throw stuff at me, but I've been on a next to no carb diet (think Atkins with some of the silly stuff missed out) and I don't think it's proving good for my guts. Still, I've lost 4lb in three days and should be the lightest I've been in 7-8 years by the end of the week :)

Move over Nigella, cos Pickle, a bona fide domestic godess is here!

Yesterday I absolutely gutted the house: it was a real state as I was so busy last week I just didn't have the time to do much housework, so it was cleaned from head to toe. It still doesn't quite know what happened to it. I also did a massive food shop, cooked dinner and made the base for a cheesecake as well as uploading a fair number of CDs from my collection to iTunes, give the dog a long walk and do loads of washing and drying. I had a heck of lie-in this morning, mind!

Right, need to nip to the shop to buy some cream for the cheesecake, walk dog, eat, iron uniform and be in work for one. Nae problem! :)

Not quite made it yet. Am just in from work. Am absolutely cream crackered as the lie-in was quite broken as I couldn't find my mobile to set the alarm and kept waking in fits and starts, afraid that somehow I would be late for work (a 1 p.m. start, that is! ;)). Am really tired now, and really narked off with work. I think I am going mad there. It was slowly, but now seems to be accelerating quickly. Have booked a careers appointment for Friday morning, so if I can hold out til then without exploding or killing someone, things should be OK. But that's a very big 'if'.

    I've definitely had enough there.

    Roll on tomorrow.

On an irritating note, I have misplaced my mobile and it has run out of battery so I can't even ring it to find it, and I really need it as there are loads of numbers on I can't remember and need to ring.

Oh, and got some FitFlops at work (don't pay for them until the end of the month), but had to get them now else they won't be there after a day or two as they are so popular. Will get them for £25 instead of £50.

Best of luck with that, something I'll be considering myself in the new year. Who are you going to see?

Good luck Pickle. When people annoy you at work, just smile and imagine them naked. It'll either provide you with amusing thoughts, or you'll be sick all over them. Either way it's a winner. :D
