Me too!

I seem to remember you mentioning something.
Great minds etc.edinburgher wrote: »Ask them to remove the fine/ask to speak to the librarian if they won't and request that they remove the fine as the alert system didn't work - not your fault!
:rotfl: Bless, but it's my own personal system: not the library's own system. Still, I get on very well with my own lovely local librarians so that if I drop a subtle hint, they might just pick up on it...or not, as the case may be!

I made that mistake. Don't even consider a career as a librarian because 'you love books'. Librarians don't have much time for reading and I deeply regret thinking a career in libraries would be anything other than a slog.I'd be no good as a librarian as I can't be quiet!!!
Neither am I - says a lot

But there must be advantages...sly removal of library fines, putting books you want on hold ("no, sorry, it's out, or some idiot has hidden it somewhere to keep it for themself. How selfish!"), or, if you like his stuff, Phillip Larkin was a librarian, so at least you know you can write poems if you want a career change!

i think lots of jobs are a hoard slog, but at least in a library you get to touch new books without feeling guilty. I bet pickle is right, you must get to reserve the good books first lol0

Aw, bless!

Well, it's sure as hell better than what I've got at the minute...and SOO much better paid!
However, it's a stepping-stone on the way to world domination and getting me out of debt. For now, at least, it is good enough. And I think I would quite enjoy it.
Still, chicken, hatching, no counting....;)Please call me 'Pickle'

Was bad and spent £6 on lunch and snacks at work yesterday.
Picked up my Mr Men cushions and they are ACE! I have Little Miss Sunshine, Mr Bump and Mr Tickle.
Pickledog is eyeing them up with interest, and if the fate of any of my other teddies is an indication, she will be off with them at the first opportunity. I'll never forgive her for running off with Gromit.
£46.50 duly received from Quidco, which means that I've less money to find to pay off that pesky overdraft. I've been thinking about it quite a bit, and when I get paid this month I may very well ask my bank to close off the overdraft for me as it will be paid back. I know it's totally the wrong way round to pay it all off, interest-wise, but it would mean that at least it's gone (although I will still have £200 OD with A&L), but at least I won't have the worry that they might ask for it back, and then I can really go to town on the CC. I feel as though it would be a weight off my mind - that one of the debts would be gone (having the A&L OD would just leave me with enough of a safety net that I could use if I needed it, without being ridiculous) - and I feel that it would be easier to rustle up more enthusiasm to pay back the CC if I only had that to focus on, somehow. I'm tired of pushing from pillar to post. I just want one easy goal.
Thank God this is all I have to worry about. All those people who have X number of CCs + Y number of loans etc. must go up the wall! Please call me 'Pickle'

Well, at least you didn't spend £7.96 on duck legs and tubs of fat (literally)
I completely support your decision to remove the overdraft from your calculations (for what it's worth). While snowball calculators etc. are all well and good the logical decision isn't all the best one for our mental health. Not everyone is a financial multi-tasker and if this way works best for you, fine! It's not as if your debts are too bad, you'll have them licked before you know it
In my opinion hardcore adherence to mathematically correct ways clearing debt are only for those with hardcore debt.
That was my PMA contribution for the day, enjoy.0
