I'm enjoying my copy of the Larousse Gastronomique at the mo - not in French, but it might as well be, it's so full of redundant hyperbole and food pr0n ;) Now that I think about it, the perfect book for me!

I saw that in W H Smith after Christmas and thought 'ooooooh!'. Naturally, it's a bit more than 99p so I had to say no. Maybe one day, once again in French. (The only problem with that is if you are cooking with others and have to translate and find yourself getting muddled up between the languages "No, I said fouettez, sorry, whisk it!" Most times I can never remember the English and resort to bad sign language! ;)

    Right, so here's the story...

Planned all for the next week or so until payday which requires £20 for the course I start on Saturday (already saved), money for new shoes which my shop, nay, entire company has run out of (and therefore I will not be spending), cheap college haircut tomorrow (desperately needed and ~£10) and epilation, which is on special offer and therefore I'm not sure how much it will cost, only to say, less than normal. (Normal being A LOT!) Still, no shoe spend is imminent, so that's helping a lot, but that's tsill quite a bit. I don't think I will be going anywhere between now and then, although friend I haven't seen for a bit has asked me to go out over the weekend and I think I need to as it has been so long. (I shall be as:money:as possible.)

Have just filled out form for a work experience placement and as soon as I sent it I noticed a mistake: the word 'ability' instead of 'inability'. As a linguistified person I'm sure I could argue the toss as to the acceptability of the turn of phrase in the given context, but I wish I had noticed it as tI hate handing in any mistakes like that, and I kept going over and over that bit and couldn't quite see what was wrong until it was too late. Grr! Hope there isn't anyone too eagle-eyed in charge who notices it!

Busy day tomorrow, so I had better get to bed. Was supposed to be working tomorrow night to cover for a colleague, but I'm not now. That will give me 4 days off in a row, and a free listing Ebay Sunday. Hmmm...wonder what I'm going to do with that day?! ;)

Hmmm....haircut was a bargain today, but the rest was expensive. Still, £3 for a pretty darn good haircut is a bargain! :D
