Yep, you are right to look over your shoulder - I am here. And I said to have a look at the blog first. Enjoy anyway - if you follow the advice you may be able to buy all books your heart desires.

That's easily remedied: post and hang out here more often!Buffythedebtslayer wrote: »2) have just booked a holiday so am slinking away before anyone see me!Buffythedebtslayer wrote: »but thanks for the book v good- now whats this about a 4 hour working week?....am intrigued!
It seems to be a book that reckons you can condense your working week into 4 hours (or therabouts). Now I doubt this is theoretically possible, but I bet it would have many tips on how to be a more effective time manager, and how to aim for what you want and cut out the uneffective things you do etc. Firewalker seems to have been using it to great effect on her thread.Firewalker wrote: »Yep, you are right to look over your shoulder - I am here. Don't get me started on that topic - I bet I'm worse than you!
I could do with getting fit. I might see about setting up some walking routes and a plan for a few weeks etc.
I did manage to get a bit of playing in as Picklebrother had to go out for a bit. It sounds beautiful!
I then ruined a perfectly good NSD by going to Mr T's and bought an Easter egg on special offer for Picklebrother's girlfriend on offer (will get others later but didn't see any I thought they would like on offer). It was £5 instead of £10 (it's a big 'un). I also got some red onions to make some caramelised red onion chutney and some cream to FINALLY put the ice cream maker into use (it's currently churning some banana ice cream as Picklemum often laments the difficulty of finding her favourite flavour). Oh, and that glass of white I'm drinking < (Knicked the arrow idea from Flying Fresian. She's full of good ones!
)
Soooooooooooo...to tomorrow: make red onion chutney (yum), practice music on new instrument (yay), do homework (gulp & boo), go to cinema with BF (double yay as getting her out of the house is a rarity given her two very small children), buy case to put new instrument in and stop the pretty bits getting scratched (money well spent, IMHO).
So, busy, but in a nice way, for once.
Hope life is as well for you all. Please call me 'Pickle'

Ooh! Chutney recipe :j:j:j Any chance you could post this on your thread pickle
and also how long it will last for once made - thinking of doing hampers for gifts for 1 or 2 more difficult people to buy for.
Definitely agree you need a good case for your instrument - if you've spent a bit on it you want to look after it too
Off to bed shortly, am just sat here thinking about food :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Am trying to curb the habit of late night eating so am probably not properly hungry it is just that I am used to eating at this time of night - if that makes senseCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
How about I post it once I've done it as I don't want to give you a recipe that isn't nice? (It's my first time making it.)
The recipe says it lasts a few months, but that if you want to make it last longer, it need preserving. I've got a few Le Parfait jars from a local co-op as empty jam jars are surprisingly difficult to come by round these parts. Apparently I just need to boil them in water for 10 mins or so once the produce is in them, and they should keep for waaaaaaaaay longer.DedicatedDFW wrote: »Off to bed shortly, am just sat here thinking about food :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Am trying to curb the habit of late night eating so am probably not properly hungry it is just that I am used to eating at this time of night - if that makes sense

chutney sounds yummy and def need case for that instrument...enjoy playing0

As long as you sterilise the jars before you put the chutney in, and it has either lots of vinegar or sugar in it, it should keep for years. I have never boiled the jars afterwards but this will help also.
To sterilise before put wash and dry jars and put them in an oven about 100 deg c (if the jars have rubber seals take them off or check they will be OK at 100 deg c. The high acidity or sweetness is the wrong environment for mould to grow and boiling afterwards will kill any airbound particles that may have got onto the edge of the jar/chutney.
Enjoy tootling on the instrument!

p.s. are you and dedicated comeing out to play on Sat (i.e. do I need to make cake on Friday?)0
