Ah ha - If it's sports I know a couple of olympic swimmers and my OH is an ex Northern Counties/Conference League footballer (well actually he still plays but five aside and other stuff when people need a spare goalie).
Ooh, thanks! I may come poach them at a later date. I'll have to arrange a finders fee, too!Sorry, did not mean to rub it in ... I'm sure your boots are FABBY and more trend setting than mine
To be fair, they are casual, which is something that I don't do normally. I need to stop 'classic' and remember I'm still young(ish!) and dress that way while I still can! (If I'd have got a pair for £1, I would brag like crazy, though!)Nails, well if you need the practice, I can make my toes available (you can't have my fingers due to coffee shop working and reflexology).
Ooh, you reflexologise?One day...one day...:D And I'll let you know when I'm up-to-scratch in t'nail department.
Dedicated ... exactly where are you hiding that extra 3 stone??? Do you have ultra heavy bones - or a wish to be a waif or a chimney sweep?
EXACTLY! :T Where on earth has she hidden them? To take three stones from Dedicated, you'd have to hack of three limbs at least...(not recommended, obviously!)

Right, so tonight before bedtime I will:
- [STRIKE]Print off copy of CV, cover letter and note to people I have been harassing for work experience, but who have been avoiding me.[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Print off online book[/STRIKE]
- Practice a little more music
- [STRIKE]Hole punch all sports stuff into place[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Shower, wash and style hair[/STRIKE] The style was 'au naturel'.
- Pluck eyebrows
- Drop off CV personally to appropriate place in nice suit
- Go to library to pick up/return books
- Call beauty salon to arrange a visit
- [STRIKE]Meet best friend for coffee/swimming cossie shopping (her, not me
)[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Do massage homework[/STRIKE]
- Tidy, hoover and mop bedroom
- Ebay one item
- Carry on reading book
Lunch and swimming cossie shopping took a bit longer than expected, too!
Spent £18.93 this past two day, including a book.*Toddles off to the 'No More Buying Books Until...' thread to confess*
EDIT: Forgot to mention that I caught my PJs on something and got a big hole in them. I had to throw them out. They were not the prettiest of things, but they were really light and made out of cotton which means that they were perfect for wearing on hot nights in the summer. It got me thinking as to when I had bought them, and I realised that it was at the end of my first year at uni, some ELEVEN years ago! I should be ashamed, but :money: or what! Please call me 'Pickle'

So today I personally dropped my CV off to the place I want to get work experience (which had been initially very enthusiastic, then started asking questions, then stopped communicating) which led me to meeting the person with whom I had been communicating who was, well, sort of interested, but equally politely not.
However, the boss seemed to really like me, so I've got some work experience starting next week! :j :j :j
What a relief! At the rate it was going, I didn't think I'd ever get any. Now I just need to go in and be so good that I blow them away!
And as for initial point of contact, I think he's a little dubious as I don't technically have all the required qualifications, but most of all I think he's a bit scared that I might end up being a bit too good! Please call me 'Pickle'

Thanks, Dedicated! And as for excess weight, I don't know how you missed mine, but I'm not whingeing!
Know what you mean about not having the energy (or quite the sense of urgency) to tackle it. However, work experience might mean that I need to.Please call me 'Pickle'

Yeay!!!!!!! :j:j:j
Sounds great - congratulations
I had a laugh at your PJ story. I just looked through my very bare wardrobe searching for things to ebay and I came across an outfit I wore to my niece's christening - she's just left home to go to uni!!! Eh, 19 years old and still wearable...we're the MSE queens :money:
At Christmas dinner this year my mum commented that I didn't go clothes shopping very often. I thought she was just making dinner table chat til she pointed out that I had the same outfit on as last Christmas and the one before :rotfl:0 -

:rotfl: I'm glad it's not just me! :rotfl:
I'm not so much like that with outer clothes, but since most of the time there's nobody to admire my jim-jams (:o), keep going until they wear out, I say.
Hmm...the above statement is probably a sad reflection on my love life. I could do with finding a Mr Pickle. Please call me 'Pickle'
