Just back from my first sports massage course. My word, but it's a whole different kettle of fish from Swedish! *Removes little Swedish fish from the ornamental pond at the back of her thread and replaces with big, muscley bruisers*
You should see the homework packs we've been given!
Other than that, cheesed off to the max with work and have spent some money today that I possibly shouldn't have done. Please call me 'Pickle'

Back from work and managed to get myself a bargain pair of boots I've had my eyes on for ages: they should have been £150, but I got them from £47.50. Bargain! :T
And yes, that is the last time I'll be buying anything for a VERY long time! Please call me 'Pickle'

Hi Pickle,
Lol re. invisibility cloak (never got the hang of the quote thing on here) but I do just have to dress to hide my shape at the mo.You looked fab at the meet and am sure that you don't need to lose any weight
Your massage courses sound really interesting and also relaxing - but I suppose that is if you are the one being massaged? What is it that you are looking to do a PHD on if you don't mind me asking?

Dedicated, surely that is the whole point of dressing, whatever your size? At the end of the day, I am a rounder hourglass figure than I should be, but an hourglass figure I am, and if I dress as though I were a brick or a noodle, I would look shocking even if I were a size 0 (NEVER going to happen! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:).
And, oooh, you fibber! At the memoryday I had been up til 3 the morning before and was imbibing coke (the drink, peeps, not anything else! :rotfl:) to keep me going, and I am waaaay beyond what my natural statistics should be, but I will have to deal with that some other time, cos there's too much going on here at the minute to focus on that as well!
The massage courses are really interesting - this sports one looks like it could be really, really interesting - and if I'm ever daft enough to do a PhD (shoot me if I ever suggest it!), it would most likely be French literature (yes, that again!), or maybe film. But I think that I would have to go back again and do another Masters to qualify. In any case, it's just to see what the procedure would be if I were to go that direction, rather than a 'Ooooh, this is what I want to do with the rest of my days' thing. (That and a really good excuse to meet up with a good friend for dinner.) We shall see...
And :j :j to the boots: was going to buy them before Christmas at £75, which still wouldn't have been a bad discount. There are few advantages to my job, but that's one of them!

What kind of 'parlour'?
Gotta be careful when using the terms 'massage' and anything else together - there are lots of, *coughs* "masseuses" out there!:rotfl:
