I'm a reflexologist :D Feel free to PM me with any queries......

it's a faberooni thing to do. I specialised in maternity reflexology - one of the best things I have ever done!

Ha! First query here...can you get me on the course, please?! ;) Didn't hear anything back today from the tutors. Not sure if I will, TBH.

Secondly, I should DEFINITELY specialise in maternity reflexology as the number of my friends who are currently carrying babies or have recently had one is positively indecent: I would have lots of people to use as case studies and then lots of potential clients as ladies with baby buns in the oven always seem to know plenty of other people with babies in the oven! :D The amount of knitting I promised to do is simply scandalous as well... ;)

Ah well...must wait and see. Perhaps I'm meant to have a study gap. Perhaps not...x

Keep badgering them about the course - I didn't get on until the last minute, but I am a persistant so and so, and eventually they got sick of the sight/sound of me, so let me on just for an easy life :rotfl:

Private schools do shorter, more intense courses than the colleges - and often are only a little more expensive - certainly worth looking into, and doing some visits to see if you like them.

I love reflexology - don't do much of it now I am back behind my desk 24 hours a day, sadly.

Apparently I'm four weeks past the last minute, so this will be interesting. ;)

And sorry you don't get to indulge your foot fetish as often as you would like. :( I hope they do ring back. Wonder if they will? Hmm...

OK so have managed to spend some unecessary money on lunches etc. this week. I'm not amused, but since everything is topsy-turvey at the minute, it doesn't surprise me that my finances are as well.

Nobody has had the good grace to ring me back about the reflexology or massage courses I was trying to get on, so I giving them up as a bad job for this year. I couldn't really afford to do it anyway, and who knows where I may need to be geographically this time next year so perhaps it's no bad thing.

Have to go out tomorrow night for a birthday (wish I hadn't said yes but have said no so many times lately to that particular friend that I feel bad always being the skint one. Am toying with the idea of driving and not drinking so it will only cost me for the parking and a few soft drinks, but those guys tend to buy rounds so I don't think it will make too much difference as I can't see how I can get out of it without looking uber-mean). I also have an invite to drink wine at a friend's house Saturday night (that's cheaper: just need to see if I can get a lift home to make it cheaper), then a leaving drink for a guy from work on Sunday (don't really want to go to that but don't see how I can get out of it without looking mean. Will not drink as I can say I've had enough on Fri and Sat, and can drive there and back). Argh! No social life for ages, then too much all at once!

Am in middle of major declutter of room to get rid of all the stuff I don't need. Am throwing out tons of paper from the Masters. Will be glad to get rid of it. Am debating how much to throw of my Master before that, but am afraid some of it could come in genuinely useful in the future, although I really want the space now. I even have my old 'A' level notes, but am trying to figure out if i could throw them out. Would like to keep some of the chemistry and biology in particular, but how would I know what might be useful in the future? All I know is that it leads to clutter and I'm sick of it. The paper will out!

I also want to sell lots of stuff on Ebay, but out lovely posties are out to make life difficult in that regard, so I think i will have to wait a week or so. I wil wait until the declutter is complete, and when I've got about as far as I think I can go I will start putting things on Turbolister in time for the end of the strike. Hoepfully I will have lots of lovely space by the end of the month, or at the latest, my birthday.

Then I just need to declutter my wardrobe and book collections...

OK, so am currently in the middle of a MASSIVE declutter in my room: am throwing out all the notes I not longer need. That means Masters I notes, Masters notes (not so many of those, admittedly), degree notes, tons and tons of 'A' level notes. Honestly, my room is tiny - where did I keep them all?! I will be delighted when it's done, though, as I will have so much more space. I have tons of stuff to Ebay as well, but now's not the time due to the postal strike: roll on the end so I can get rid of it all!

In other news...as I already said my amount of general spends went horribly wrong. Will do my best to rectify this coming month.

Also, had no social life for just about all of this month, then 3 social events in a row this weekend. Didn't go to one, the second turned out to be very expensive for going to a friend's for a glass of wine (need to be careful not to repeat that). The third was more than I had hoped, as well. Gah! And I was spending my savings to do so cos I was sick of not going out and not doing anything. Need to sort that out.

Furthermore, I got my payslip this week. I'm getting paid about £100 less than anticipated. I don't know if I miscalculated how much I was going to get paid, or if it's a mistake on work's part. I'll have to figure it out tomorrow at a more appropriate hour (a.k.a. 'when my brain's still working'). Gah!

Hope you are all keepnig well! x

Was paid today. Still not had the chance to check over whether I was paid properly or not, so that's on tomorrow's To Do list. Bought lunch out (that's BAD but woke up late after a terrible night's sleep and didn't have time to make one - definitely need to start making them the night before as I can't afford to keep that up), bought two pairs of boot shapers to stop my boots twisting in their boxes (in my declutter I found a box of boots I had totally forgotten about and they were twisted in the box something rotten so this should sort them out). I get a discount at work, but feel guilty at buying the second pair - did I really need them?!

On the savings front, in order to meet my aim of saving enough money to pay off my overdraft in January I need to put £333.33 away this month (well, not strictly given that I have some savings). Also, last month I took out most of my savings from my savings account as I thought I would be using them as tution fees, but I haven't so I put them back. This doesn't work perfectly as I had to dip into them for bits and pieces towards the end of the month, but I thought I would move that total back into my savins as a symbolic gesture before figuring out where the rest of my finances stand. I don't know if I will be able to put away the whole £333.33, but I have lots of things to sell on Ebay so I will try to make up as much of the rest of the cash that way as possible. Perhaps I will make it my monthly challenge. I just transferred £28.27 that I made on the last things I sold, so it's a start: I need to make as near to £305.06 as possible to do what I can. I'm not sure if my stuff will be worth that much, but it's a start and I will have other money I can put into that to savings.

Oh dear...I'm so broke already by the looks of things (even though I haven't analysed it fully yet), and I only just got paid! :( It's my birthday this month, and I want to go out for that as I never seem to do anything good for my birthday and I wanted a nice one this year. And I might have to go out for another birthday, by the looks of things. I'll have to have a think about this all tomorrow.

Hello Pickle, just dropped by to see how you're doing :) Rubbish news about the MA, but you seem to be in the right frame of mind to move forward. Have you heard anything about the reflexology course?

Good luck with all the ebaying and savings target! Why not sell the twisty boots you forgot you had...? X

    :hello:poddle,

Alas, they suggested that it was too far in to do it, but recommended a 15 week Indian head massage course starting at the end of January/start of February which is related and would keep me going until the beginning of the next academic year. That seems fair enough, and it's all related.

As for the Ebaying...I hadn't thought about getting rid of the twisty boots! As it goes, I really like them (it's like I just bought a new pair without the actual purchasing!), and it would cost me about £100 to buy a similar pair if I were to do so, so I won't get rid of them as I remember buying them as a bargain for about 30 Euros in Ireland. (It would also mean that buying the boot shapers was pointless!) However, I am half tempted as they not longer fit as I have gone up a dress size recently. but I can't bring myself to get rid of any of my old clothes as I am really want to get back into my old dress size. :o I know that's stubborn, but I can't deal with the idea of staying how I am now; it would be like admitting defeat in life! Decisions, decisions ...however, there is still tons for me to get rid of, so it's not so bad, and I've just realised I could sell another pair of sued ones I rarely wear. (This make it sound like I have lots of boots, but I don't and the original pair I thought I had look like I will have to throw them out.)

Apart from that, I'm still in declutter mode...

Also, I found the 'being a tutor' thread so I am going to put some time into trying to get me some tutees (if that's the right term for them). The only potential problem there would be that I work funny hours. Still, it would be far more lucrative than what I'm doing at the minute!

Right, so it's 12.10 here and I've done nothing so far today. I'm going to get dressed (bad Pickle! :o), nip to the shops to pick up some bits and pieces, then come back and get on with the room.

Best of luck with your stuff, poddle. x
