Hi Pickle - I missed a vital ingredient from the recipe... the cake needs 2 teaspoons of baking powder to make it rise!

    Lovely to meet you today

Thanks, NL: I'll add it to the recipe straight away. :)

And hhhhhhhhhhhhheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeellllllllllllllllllllllooooooooooooooooooooo to you too, Reddie) Sorry I've been quiet, but it's been a busy week. And it has been full of MSErs! :D I met flying_fresian for lunch on Wednesday, then went to Memory Girl's Manchester workshop (it was brilliant - I utterly recommend it to anyone) where I met not only Memory Girl but Firewalker, NorthernLas and Dedicated, who were all lovely.

Evidently, all the nice people hang out on here. ;)

Gotta dash...workworkwork at 11, then taking two little lads to see Harry Potter this evening. Woo hoo! :T

I think that particular conversation went something like:

    Dedicated: I think that's Firewalker.

Pickle: Ooh really? Let's go introduce ourselves.

Pickle and Dedicated: Hi, are you Firewalker? Yes? Oh hello, nice to meet you. I'm Pickle and this is Dedicated. Or X and Y in real life.

And then it went from there...;)

(And yes, it is a bit wierd, but I've had a week of nice wierdness in that respect, so it's all good by this point! :rotfl:

P.S. Having said that, I did have the desire to keep calling Firewalker 'Firewalker' and Memory Girl 'Memory Girl', and strange as the looks I would get would be, I think I could cope with being called 'Pickle': I've had a lot worse! ;)

Good morning, Pickle. My sons reported that MG did refer to 'Firewalker' during the course - and the grown up son could figure out who this is. I find more interesting not coping with the names but whether the image of someone corresponds or not to the one that has been created by 'talking' on web and reading them.

    NorthernLas claims that it does...

    Firewalker

That's so true! NorthernLas said to me on the day 'Oh, your the one with the nails' (see previous posts), and I always think that people expect someone much trendier than me. Emmie26 had the same problem a while back, imagining a geek thanks to the languages, and someone very chic cos of all the nails.

I like to maintain an air of mystery! :p

I think I wasn't too far off the mark with you, but I can't quite say what I expected to be different, IYKWIM. I definitely expected intelligence, and a foreign accent, but I wasn't too sure about what I expected you to look like.

    Now I know. ;)

    T'was nice to meet you. And sons 1 & 2. :)

I need to go back to your thread and read your last big post when I get a minute: it looked very good and relevant, but I didn't have the chance to read it all - I just saw that my name was mentioned. (I'm famous - woohoo! :rotfl: ;))

Also, take this snow with you *hands over pitiful amount of snow*. Good riddance: either a lot or none at all, but not this widdling amount!
