I'm always astounded by people younger than me who have managed to get a mortgage and a house and everyfink! At this rate I'll never own my own house waaah....

Raquela,
It has been tough, we were just so determined to get on that ladder early
and it just seemed the sensible thing to do when it finally came to paying my parents board money!! Thought I may aswell put my money towards something of my own.
I'm sure you will get there eventually and probably wont have the debt that i've got to go along with it.
Thanks for reading, hopefully you'll stick around and visit again!Proud to be dealing with my debts one step at a time.Weight Loss Progress - 0 out of 56lbsWBDF's 'Weight Loss Challenge to Christmas 2009' Progress - 0 out of 21lbsPart of the DFW Addicts '''Blankie Club'' - Working my way to VEGAS babyOctober NSD's 0/100 -

Oh and more good news.......
Going to the bank at lunch, paying in some cash, which will take me out of the overdraft. Only by a teensy amount but hopefully with a little blood sweat and tears can stay out of it till payday (23 days away including today).
But you never can tell what the future will bring so I'll just take each day as it comes!

Morning!
I know, I've been promising to get fit for so long, now seriously, Im finally going to do it. Giving myself a 4 month goal, so hopefully by the new year, I'll be fit as a fiddle! Maybe we can keep each other on our toes?!
Its always nice to know somebody else is in the same boat. The fiance is fitness mad. I'm pretty useless!
But, its never too late to change!
And I'm with you on the overdraft. I know we'll get there one day!

Have you worked out a budget ? Ive been in my overdraft for well over 2 years (bad bad bad !) but at the end of the year ill have paid it off (it was £3000). It really works to reduce it every month because you dont overspend if you dont have the funds available.0

I have got a budget in so much as;
I have a little book at home (well A5, not so little) that at the beginning of every month (and by month I mean the day before my payday) I detail any money I have coming in for the month (wages etc), and also all bills, debt repayments, and other essential expenses that are going out for the month. This lets me know exactly what the balance will be on my account after all the set expenses have gone out. Then after that I try ever so hard to restrain myself and my spending on things such as social activities, mobile phone top ups and grocery shopping.
To be honest though this is something I really need to work on.
Its all fine till I'm left with free reign.
My mobile phone use is far too high and the top ups really start to mount up!
My grocery shops can also be £70+ at a time easily (though this does include cat litter, wash powder, toilet roll etc - but not cat food).
Then there are the little things I forget, like Cat Food which I don't realise is nearly empty till I go in to get them some (the boys have to have a prescription diet!).
I think after you've bought this to my attention (which I'm very glad you did) it really is something I need to look at. Maybe set myself a maximum phone top-up amount, and a budget for my weekly shop?
Socially, my main expenses are the occasional meal out, renting dvd's/games (tried the online service as it was cheaper but we never got what we wanted so ditched it), and the cinema.
Think thats something to add to a to do list aswell then, in the very near future - sort out a budget!!
Let me know of any suggestions anybody has pleasseeee!Proud to be dealing with my debts one step at a time.Weight Loss Progress - 0 out of 56lbsWBDF's 'Weight Loss Challenge to Christmas 2009' Progress - 0 out of 21lbsPart of the DFW Addicts '''Blankie Club'' - Working my way to VEGAS babyOctober NSD's 0/100
