Good evening all. Finally getting a chance to pop in today. It's been filled with this and that, the daughters coming for a visit etc. Hope all are doing well and those that aren't, good thoughts being sent your way that things will turn around soon for you.
Happy Anniversary Mr & Mrs Aussie
Welcome to HannahIOW, Gert and Michelle!
Jayward Cut up a couple of potatoes and let them simmer in with the soup for a bit. That really helps remove the saltiness. Can scoop them out or leave them in as you wish.
Not much other than tea was OS today. Did get a load of wash done. It's still on the airer drying. With the rain to sun to rain day we've had, there was no chance of them drying outside.
I think it will be an early night for me. I'm tired and still feeling chilled after getting caught in the rain walking home. A hot shower and into bed with fresh sheets sounds like the thing to do.
Gentle hugs to all who want/need them.

Morning all.
A new months, so a new start.
Got a doctors appointment first thing, then back home to portion and freeze all the batch cooking I did yesterday.
Have a great day everybody
Mags
xx
Phew! What a day!
Id got the wrong day for Dr's appointment, so went to have a haircut instead. Then put batch cooking into freezer.
Then cooked some fajitas for lunch (the damn advert MADE me do it!), then off to hospital with hubby to see his consultant. (they are very pleased with him, and want to see him again next month).
Then home for some housework before settling down with Facebook and MSE.
Will be heading off to snoozeland soon, but before then, has anyone got any good ideas on soft/smooth food that I can serve to my husband on his birthday (7th Sept).
We know about mash, blitzed soups, yoghurt, cream, sorbets, ice-cream etc. But I cant think of a suitable menu to dish up.
Portions are to be small as he hasnt had proper food since January (has a feeding peg in), but I really want him to have something special and tasty.
All help greatfully recieved

Thanks everyone for the kind wishes. Except for Meanie who said it was chicken feed.
It's morning here so as DH is at work I'm going to do the floors out today and catch up with a few cleaning jobs. The yard needs a mow but I'll leave that for the weekend. The curry was lovely we had last night and I've got leftovers for tea. Strawberries & icecream for pud.
