Good afternoon
Happy Anniversary to the AussiesHope you enjoyed your celebration
Well I'm one shattered CM. The weather forecast this morning said rain by lunchtime, heavy rain at that. So I decided gardening was the order of the day until the rain arrived. Over 6 hours later, my back is bent double and the sun is still blazing :rotfl:Garden looks a whole heap better though;) Just a good job I have leftover bacon, onion and potato bake for dinner tonight. Just have to warm that through and do some fresh veggies. Might pull some baby carrots to go with it, and we've still got loads of spinach. I can't believe how much I've grown this year and all in pots
Washing is all dried, so ironing tonight, oh joy  I'll have to do it as I washed some bits I want for our mini holiday, and we go on Thursday. The forecast is for rain, more rain and then some rain :rotfl: Good job I don't mind getting wet eh? ( but secretly I'm hoping they've got it wrong again )
Enjoy the rest of your day, CM x
Forgot to say welcome on board to Hannah, Gertrudeanna and shellsmithcat
Not worth a new post, but had to put in print somewhere, I used the search facility and found what I wanted!!! Gammon done in coke :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -

Afternoon all,
Not a very nice day here, but OH was bored so he treated us both to lunch in a new 'bistro' in our local town....was very nice. Bought some salmon for dinner for DD4 and DGS2, they were both hungry when they came from school so have just eaten....looks like it will be noodles or something filling later on as we have all had our main meal so early.
Welcome to lots of newbies to-day...Alzeimer's makes me forget names but the thought is there.
Hope that you have had a lovely anniversary Aussies....30 years....chicken feed!
Am really worried about Sunnygirl now....still no contact with anyone?
With all the talk of caravans am getting broody for one, if that is how you would describe it....not sure.
Nothing exciting here except that a friend is sending me an Avon catalogue that has lots of 'C' stuff in it....not really sure I want it now but am a sucker for catalogues, thank God we don't have lakeland here!
Enjoy the rest of your day everybody, hugs to all in need or want

hello peeps
Bit late in here today, been a funny sort of day weather wise, sun, rain, thunder, and very windy.
Had toast for breakfast at Mums, and Lunch was the last of the crusty bread with beef and mustard mmm nice
Dinner will be Pizza tonight for quickness
OH plays snooker with my friends OH tonight so he will drop me off on the way, and we can settle down for a natter with a couple of glasses (or 3) of a nice chilled Chardonay, and a few nibbles
Had a really good cook up yesterday,
3 large Pasta bakes
2 SC braised beef/veg
1 huge spag bol
and a large tub of mince and onion etc from the Economy Gastronomy Programme,
Talking of the EG programme Amazon are selling the book for £10 with free P/P seems like a good price, think I'll drop a few hints for my birthday, its not until November so it has time to sink in:rotfl:
Not read through yesterdays or todays yet will do that while the pizza is cooking.

Am returning to the OS fold for the winter methinks...ds has been for 6th form registration today and I have been in contact with work, but not sure as yet when my term will start.
I have a lot on at the moment. Twin-town group coming for exchange in OCtober and I'm not ready! Also keep getting more 'free food', plums, apples etc to deal with. And the freezer is rather full.
While ds was in his registration this morning, I went to the garden centre close to school, sat with notebook and pen and made an outline meal plan till half term, incorporating some of the stuff that I could remember is in the freezer. Also went to the 'nice' butchers for a few things for some special dishes for when I have visitors. The money spent on coffee and toast (breakfast!) was probably less than the petrol money and I also gained an hour by not driving home and back again. Free range eggs are cheaper at the butcher than Mr M's and better quality, also know where the meat (esp sausages come from!)
Hoping to get the inspiration here to get back within my food budget."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Afternoon all
Got to work this morning to find nothing has changed, my room still in chaos, people complaining because the work can't be done. The facilities manager told me if I wanted my room sorted I should get of my !!!!! & do it myself, ok, as soon as I've trained as an electrician I'll sort it out.
Washing dried on the line while we were at work & I'm cooking lamb chops for tea, mmm.
Have a good evening.
Hugs Hester

white rabbits everyone im still recovering from our last minute weekend away at haven (last min deal) still have tons of washing to do, i done 4 loads already but drying it is a nightmare in this awful rain. tomorrow brings playgroup restarting for me and my girls, my eldest starts nursery school in 2 weeks and is doing afternoons so i got new routines to sort after 8 weeks off nursery. itll be strange just having one child for half a day again. After fighting the washing pile ill be bottoming the house again as last week, saturday im off to asda for a whoops joint hopefully beef for sunday with a view of a beef balti monday with whats left and maybe make a cake. I got a ton of winter preparations to do mainly making blankets and some shoping to pick up, hot water bottles and the likes. currently crocheting a blanket and reading peter kay lol.Jan 2015 GC £267/£260
