I don't have a set plan - so I don't know. All my wins were pretty random. Just logged on and played whichever game was on

I won £100 jackpot on my Wedding Anniversary (2nd Nov) but only a few £'s since then - not that I'm complaining, but I do wonder if they set a cap on individuals winnings if you're not depositing....

After some had their hands burnt with referrals on KJP - I kept away from that, but I guess you should be ok on BB F_F, it seems like a good site.
Good luck to everyone, every win is a bonus - Let's just enjoy it while it lasts! :)

Just about to head to bed, it's been a long week.

I'm not enjoying the new job I have had since they restructured at my current work, so applied for a new one tonight. Hopefully I will get an interview, but it's troubled times and the field is wide!

Ebay has made me some more money (Hurrah!) tonight as I sold three items for a total of £19.56 which isn't bad, although the Radley purse only went for £12  Still, it's £12 more than I would have got without listing it.

I have just spent the last half hour listing things on Turbo Lister so I can sell them tomorow. I have another few bits to do, but I'm sleepy so maybe not quite yet!

    Have a good night y'all.

    Morning all!

Payday tomorrow (The money has arrived in my account but I'm pretending I can't see it!) so here's the updated state of things:

    All accounts = £0
Purse = £19 (To be used tonight when I go to Glasgow for a gig)

    Ebay

I have sold goods worth £57.55 this week (Woo!!) and have many auctions ending today. So far, they are due to make me £72 :j None of the other items ending today have watchers so I'm not hopeful that they will sell, especially as I understand that Ebay are having major technical problems, but here's hoping. If my items don't go up in price, I will have made £129.55 from the Free Listing Day last week :D

My folks have been down this weekend which has been good. I have faced the nightmare that is the local shopping centre on a Saturday and won, hurrah! I also got a lift to Tesco (rocks my world, it's so big and shiny!) to pick up some bits and pieces. I managed to get there as they were doing the final whoopsies - it was quite mental - and got five 500g packs of mince for 72p each :D I could have gotten more things but it was just too crazy and as much as I love a bargain I didn't want to be one of the people grabbing things and harrassing the staff to reduce it.

My new plan is baking. I used to do loads of baking when I was a kid (My mother could bake for Scotland) and it's fallen by the wayside. I mentioned to mum that I wanted to take it up again and she has brought me down loads of trays for making traybakes and cupcakes and last night she bought my first lot of basic supplies (chocolate, margarine, flour, sugars) so that I can get started quite soon. Mr Fresian is thrilled :rotfl:He won't be so thrilled when I tell him that the oven has to be scrubbed to within an inch of its life first :A I don't have a mixer yet, but I'm getting a hand mixer from my mum when I visit her and dad in the Frozen North before Christmas so when I return I have plans for little cupcakes iced in green/red icing sugar to have as nibbles on Christmas Day. Mr Fresian is limbering up for a comprehensive quality control tasting as soon as he can :D

I'm waiting for a couple of paypal payments to hit my account and will be paying the money off the credit card that I used to stock up on cat stuff. I want to try and keep my savings as in tact as possible. Last night I splurged a little though....someone on Grabbit posted a sale on crafty bits and pieces and I bought a load of card making supplies. Again, I was quite into this sort of thing when I was younger and would like to start again. We'll see how it goes :D

Update on Bovine Challenge - I haven't filled in my spreadsheets in ages and have lost track of spending. I'm definitely still under £3000 but won't be when the bills come off, so I have failed. Curses!

I have a new level of respect for the people doing the £4,000 for a year challenge though. Crikey!

    Hi F_F
Sorry to hear you're unhappy in the job. Your luck might change in the New Year :)
Great news on Ebay though :T It's a big boost when things sell, don't forget to factor in fees though.....
    Have a good day xx

I've failed spectacularly too but I'm still convincing myself that almost making it to the end of Novemeber was an achievement in itself and I have learnt lots from it, mostly never allow OH to enter a supermarket.

I'll be back soon though with a new and very cunning plan for the month of December.

    Evening all!

I'm back from my trip to Glasvegas to see the excellent Skunk Anansie. I'm suffering slightly from a case of "headbangers neck" though, I'm getting too old for this :o

Happy tidings in Fresian Towers today courtesy of Ebay....my undated 20p sold for.....£77!!! I'm not taking the money out of my Paypal account until I know it's gone ok though.

I also sold something which has been bought by someone in Canada despite me saying UK bidders only. I'm going to have to figure out how much that is going to cost to post (Urgh, hassle not needed!)

I also won £5 today on BB which is currently winging it's way through the internet to me.

Most of the Christmas shopping is now done. I only have a couple of little things to get. I'm now off to wrap my Ebay sales and finish the Xmas wrapping. Woo for Christmas - I'm feeling quite festive today :rudolf:

Blimey - get you! You're a one woman money making machine! :T
Great news on the 20p - I've been looking for one of them everywhere!

Love Skunk Anansie, bet Skin is brilliant live - keep up the good work ;)
  • Good going on that 20p MrEH and I must go through the pig at some stage to make sure we've not got any of those......*crosses fingers*.

Thanks all for the thoughts on BB re times for playing, number of tickets etc. Looks like it is all pretty random doesn't it - I won £10 the other day which means I have at least covered my initial £5 investment and got some sort of profit. Hopefully I might pick up a bit more yet, although I will have to deposit again at least once as we're away over the weekend so I will miss out on a couple of days bonus. I just feel so out of my depth on anything like that though! :rotfl:

Glad you enjoiyed the gig. Last one I went to was Robbie Williams at Milton Keynes a couple of years ago - it was excellent but I certainly couldn't go nthrough the whole sitting outside in the queue thing that we used to now. A friend reminded me the other day that it was 15 years since we went to see Roger Taylor's (Queen) first solo tour - memories of sitting outside various venues from ungodly hours of the morning in sub-zero temperatures. Worth every second though! :D

In other news I have applied (and been accepted, woo!) for a new credit card with Tesco. I'm planning on using this for all of my shopping (groceries, sundries) and paying it via Faster Payments each time I make a transaction. I would like to be able to use Tesco vouchers for a holiday at some point! I have made my first steps towards this by buying a present for a friend's boyfriend today - she is giving me the money for it and hopefully I will be getting 39 Clubcard points and Quidco cashback for it :D

I also was slightly naughty and bought Mr Fresian a couple of presents today from Zavvi (double Quidco cashback today) and treated myself to the High School Musical 1-3 boxset for a tenner. Very cheesy I know, but I love it!
  • just a quick helloo from me will post more tomorrow xx
