  • loving your busy sunday, fresian! we are (still!) decorating here at tomtom towers, so my weekend was mainly spent doing emergency dashes to B&Q, Maplins etc and trying to amuse the boys without the advantages like the electric being on for great stretches of the day or heating. DH is a bit fussy about the final finish, so all plugs, switches etc must be completely removed from the wall before emulsioning can take place...

we now enter the final stretch. by this time next week (i type hopefully...), we should have a home complete with lino, laminate and shiny new paintwork. :j watch this space ;)

my M&S tin (yes! i have a matching one to yours!) is for my PAD coppers - silver and gold ones go in The Tin That Can Not Be Opened Apart From With A Tin Opener to avoid temptation. Due to the ever present decorating (and my recent discovery of Pets at Home, puppy arrives next week!), i think my M&S tin may get rather more PADs than anywhere else for a while...

    keep on Budgeteering! xx

    Hey guys,

Good to hear that you're coming along, it will be nice to "know" people there! I'm looking forward to it, but am working at 4am the next day  I suspect I may be going into work a little tipsy :D

So, without dwelling on it too much, today has been rotten (Work-wise) but there have been other things about it which have been good.

I got to make up a shoebox full of stuff to send to children who have no-one to give them Christmas presents (workplace charity gubbins) The high heidyins were happy to give money instead of buying stuff themselves, so I got to go to Tesco at lunchtime and buy toys, pens and so on to fill a shoebox with to give some poor sod a better Christmas.

I bought a new freezer today (Well, my mum bought it for me) as ours is quite small and I do like to stock up with whoopsies and do batch cooking as well. Our freezer is too small to facilitate that, so now I am going to have a second freezer. She paid for it and I got £6 cashback on Quidco :rotfl:

    Ebay -

Two items are being bid on (Total price = £8.18)
Three of the unbid items have watchers

I'm selling ten items in total, and do hope I sell them all as the free listing day was ok but some of the things I'm selling have a high value so I used multiple photos etc. I really hope I sell my undated 20p piece! I've set a reserve of £50 on it as I know that others have sold for the same. Happy thoughts!

I really need to go and spend some time updating my spreadsheets (Been avoiding it for over a week now :o) so I'm going to find something to listen to on iPlayer and do that for a while.

    Toodles!

Just deposited £10 into Bingon via Quidco and it has already tracked at £20!

I won nothing but if the £20 pays out I suppose I will have won something :D

    Beware of Bingon F_F.
I read on Hypno's thread someone saying they'd had their fingers burnt - be careful ;)
Sorry to hear you've had a rubbish day, just concentrate on the good stuff and don't let the beepers get you down hun x

Another £2.50 won this morning on B!ngo Br!tain, but for some reason I can't withdraw/deposit. It looks like a website error so I will try again shortly. It's a pain in the bum! I just want to be able to do more PADding with someone else's money. :A

I read that too, but had already done it. Haven't played though. Wasn't the poster saying a problem with the wager levels and withdrawing or something. Anyway, will just leave the money there, it has tracked, see how long it takes to come through. If it does, fine, if not, it was bingo winnings anyway!

Have withdrawn my winnings this morning - all £2.50 of them! It said I had lost an unqualified bonus - does anyone know what this means?

    Hello!

Time to focus on good things in the debt-busting world!

I was £170 overdrawn the day before payday last month, today I am £120 overdrawn, so I have repaid £50 this month despite being quite skint :j I currently have the following money available to me:

Spends = £67 (Shall also be padding from this account until the overdraft is away)
    Entertainment = £20.55
Groceries = £1.62 I will be over on this but the budget had been reduced from previous months and I have enough BOGOF Kenco to see me until doomsday...

    Purse = £10.41

There are 6 days until payday...

I bought Mr Fresian a set of 6 Spike Milligan books today as part of his Christmas - only £7.99 from The Book People. The books are around £5 each on Amazon :j I used my Google-fu to find a free delivery code too. If the Quidco tracks that will be perfect :rotfl:

My £20 cashback from Bingon has tracked so I'm crossing my fingers for that one!

I have the following showing on Quidco at the moment:

£11.26 received and due to pay in November (Sainsburys and Gadgetshop from their month of madness promotion. One of those was an order for my boss!
£5 showing as validated from PriceMinister. If this comes good I will have received a DVD and been paid to take it as it was £5 and I used a £5 off voucher :A

£1.42 tracked from MusicMagpie, £6.55 from Comet and £20 from Bingon. It's all looking good for Quidco :D

No additional bids showing on Ebay but quite a few new watchers, so hopefully that will be all good! I sadly forgot that I'm in Glasvegas on Sunday night (Going to see Skunk Anansie with my best friend and we're staying over then doing some Christmas shopping!) so I need to brief Mr Fresian on how to sort out my Ebay stuff without upsetting my 100% feedback :D

I'm trying to pick up some bargains in the New Look sale just now (For work) but the website is sooooo slow...harrumph. 10% Quidco on that too :rotfl:

    How is everyone else doing?

Hello f_f, just had a quick catch up on your diary and must confess that I too sucuumbed to the M&S penny bazaar tin! Cute isn't it? Mine is for my new £2 coin savings (Currently standing at - wait for it - £4). But the thing that excited me most was that whilst queuing, I got chatting to the lady on front of me. I really recognised her from somewhere but couldn't put my finger on it until that evening when it suddenly dawned on me that she'd been on 'How Clean is Your House?" You can imagine my excitement...
Sorry to barge in on your thread but love to tell that story at any given opportunity! Have subscribed now so look forward to keeping up with your progress x
