Morning all!
I've not posted as I've been out and about! I had a meeting yesterday and went to the pub briefly afterwards (Yay for £1.75 glasses of wine! It didn't taste like paint stripper or anything....)
I then went out with my friend to see Up at the movies. As always, I objected to having to pay £1.50 on top of my Unlimited Card price. If it's Unlimited then I shouldn't have to pay extra. Grrr....
What really shocked me though was that my friend had to pay £9.50 to see the movie because it was in 3D. Jeez...
It didn't need 3D anyway as it was just an amazing film. Really enjoyable for kids and adults alike. Recommended to all!
Above is my latest debt ticker showing that I have paid off over 30% of my debt since starting the Debt Free Birthday Club :j Since joining the site, this is my ticker.....
Mwahahah!! So close to 50% cleared and I only joined and started really debt-busting in November last year. Not bad for 12 months

Hi f_f. You are STORMING through your debt - good on ya!! :T
I took my LO and his friend to see UP. It is fab isn't it? The boys wanted to see it in 3D which i don't think was necesary but it's the only expensive day i've had this week so can't complain. Although £7.70 for 2 tubs of popcorn nearly made me pass out :eek: Thank goodness i'd taken drinks for them!One step at a time0 -
Oops, I've been ignoring my diary again
So, what have I been doing with my time then? Not a lot really. Yesterday I went to two supermarkets with my friend. I needed more groceries than I could reasonably carry on a bus and she kindly agreed to help with her car-owning status. We went too early in the day to get good whoopsies, but I did get loads of fruit and veg at Morrisons - 30p for a bag of onions, same for carrots, bag of peppers for £1 etc. I am going to be making lots of soup and eating lots of fruit over the next few days! Tomorrow I'm making chicken soup as we had roast chicken for dinner today and it was gooooood!
Another good discovery yesterday was that the Morrisons cafe do a high tea type thing for £1.99 per person. A sandwich, a pot of tea and a massive scone filled with cream and jam. Bargain! We needed this to sustain us on our adventures!
Today I feel like I have done nothing but housework. I have sorted Washing Mountain (With the exception of Sock Summit which shall be scaled later in the week) and done all of the dishes. I have done two loads of washing. I have also, in conjunction with Mr F, tidied the bedroom. You can see the floor and everything! We have moved all the tat we don't need/use into the spare room and shall be sorting that out shortly too. We've been very productive.
My plan for the next two hours is to watch more of Season 6 of 24 so that I can spend all of next weekend watching the new series. Hurrah!
Have you had a good weekend People Of The Internet?

Oops, forgot the reason for posting in the first place - an update on my progress in the Bovine Budgeteering Madness.
In October I spent:
Bills - £295.59 (Excludes debt, mortgage, council tax)
Groceries - £221.97
Other Sh*te - £165.17 (Vast improvement on September)
My biggest spends in October were presents for Christmas and family birthdays, so it's not as bad as it seems.
I have therefore spent:
October = £682.73
September = £861.66
Total so far = £1,544.39
Total remaining.....£1,455.61.
It's going to be tight, especially around Christmas!

Evening all!
Quick post to try and help my brother out. Long story short....
He's been renting a room from someone in Aberdeen for ages and she's off travelling. He [strike]is quite stupid[/strike] kindly offered to stay on and rent out her old room but has signed the lease saying that he will pay £X to her per month for the next TWO YEARS. *facepalm*
He had someone lined up to move in and they haven't turned up and aren't answering calls and now he's short of the money for this month which he's having to cover from his savings (He's the one in the family that's good with money!)
Essentially, if you know anyone (who isn't a lunatic) in the Aberdeen area who might be looking to rent a large double room in a flat close to Union Street (10 minutes walk when sober, more when not) then please PM me and I will pass you his email address.
Thank ye kindly.
