Roll Over Cookery

just popping in to say if I was rubberising mince .. I would cook a big batch just plain with onions & then take a portion to make a cottage pie, THEN add the ingredients to make bolognase, then chilli - you could even reserve some basic cooked mince & do a curry before the bolognaise. If the cottage pie was put in the freezer shelf it could even re-emerge after these .. so you batch cook the mince but serve curry .. then the bol , then the chilli & then a good old cottage pie ..I THINK is a whole sentence, not a replacement for I KnowSupermarket Rebel No 19:T0

I make up big batches of tomato sauce and freeze in portions for different meals.
She could make up the sauce and use it with mince for bolognese one night, pop in some olives and you've got chicken cacciatore another, mix some cream cheese through it and it makes a fish pie for a third night, add some curry paste and guess what???
The combinations are endless.0 -

Hi artichoke,
I'll merge both threads together and if you let me know a title that you think will be suitable and easier to find on a search then I can change that too.
