Sleepmasters Sensaform mattress range - any good?

Had my Chic for around a year now and it's the best bed I've ever had. I'm glad I went for the Chic as prefer a firmer mattress, but having said that, it has given so just about right now.
My only complaint is that the buttons seem to be felt more on the top of the mattress now the top of the mattress has softened a bit.0 -
Apologies for posting in this chat but I am new to this and don't know how to start a new thread! Thanks to all of you for your input here, I am swearing off Sleepmasters as they sound like the customer service is appalling. However have any of you had any experience with snugmattresses.co.uk?
They seem to have had excellent reviews and offer a 60 day money back guarantee if you sleep on your new mattress and hate it. We are looking at the Snug Pocket spring 1200 Outlast memory foam mattress in king size as we've been told pocket sprung + memory foam is the best way forward. However the mattress on the bed we have bought at Feather and Black was their Lawrence pocket sprung + memory foam with 4000 springs but £1300 (with discount). This is obviously a huge difference in price but will we get what we pay for? Or can anyone recommend a better alternative? It was lovely when we tried it out but clearly 5 minutes in the shop does not guarantee anything. We hope to have this bed for a long time so any help you guys can give us would be much appreciated!0 -

Kaymed, you want get much better value for money then them. Huge range of pocket+memory. Very well made product indeed.
Or their new sister label is now out called King Coil, which is shops only, no INTERNET.
There is no need in the world for a bed to have 4000 springs. It will be 2 layers of 1500 springs on top of each other in the mattress and then a further 1000 springs in the base. Pocket springs in a base is a complete and utter waste of time. Open coil sprung base will do the job just as well at a fraction of the cost.Helping the country to sleep better....ZZZzzzzzzz0 -
Hi Pinkypants
I had a snug mattress, had soooo many problems with it, the company are terrible as well. I would avoid them like the black death.0 -
Hi, I think I am too late in reading some of these reviews as we bought our mattress just yesterday... its the Sleepsmaster Sensaform Tranquillity Mattress - it was really comfortable in the shop and will hopefully have no issues with that, but am concerned regarding the heat. We didn't buy a bed from the shop which if we did entitles us to the 5 Year Guarantee & the 28 days exchange policy so instead we just have the standard 1 year and no excahnge policy. We still can buy the bed from the shop as our mattress is on a 3 week delivery to get the 5 year & exchange policy...what does anyone reccommend please??
Thanks...0 -
I have just recieved THE letter from Sleepmaster to tell me my Sensaform mattress 'Breasley Sensaform Ortho' (cost £500.00 half price) does not have a fault
P
My sleepmaster mattress went mouldy on my husband's side. They sent out someone to check it, I received a letter saying no fault. I followed it up saying it was not acceptable and used the letter template off the small claims court website (Northern Ireland) courtsni.gov.uk/en-GB/Publications/UsefulInformationLeaflets/Documents/Small%20Claims%20Guide/Small%20Claims%20Guide.pdf
and they replaced the mattress without any more hassle.0 -
We have a sensaform tranquility mattress which is pocket spring and memory foam. It cost nearly £1000 and is less than 2 years old, however we are so fed up of sleepless nights and backache we are looking to buy a new bed. The bed does not recover its shape and there are permenant indentations where we sleep. We joke about lying in the groove when we get into bed at night but the result is the most uncomfortable nights sleep we have experienced in any bed. Neither of us is overweight and we didn't expect poor quality such as this from an apparently luxury product. We have followed the manufacturers instructions to swivel the mattress around monthly to even out the wear but this does not help. I would discourage anyone from buying this product. A very expensive mistake.0

I'm so disappointed to read the comments on the Sensaform mattresses. I bought one on Sunday and haven't slept well at all. So hot!! I tried a lower tog duvet (4.5) and that was a little better but still woke constantly during the night from being too hot. I think I must also be moving around in my sleep searching for cooler spots in the bed. It's currently zero degrees outside and we sleep with the window open......I dread to think how hot this mattress will be in the summer months!
I've noticed that the mattress isn't as soft as the one we tried in the shop but that will be due to ours being new. It came vacumn packed and even after more than 48hrs the sides are still bulging and the corners still flat.
We've had two water beds for the last 15yrs but disliked the inflexibility (can't move it once filled) and thought a pocket sprung mattress with memory foam would replace it.
I don't know what to do now!0 -
I bought a senseform cool mattress and paid a lot for it but by far the worst mattress I've ever bought. Foam collapsed completly after a few months, my hubby had constant back, chest and neck pain. You could feel the bed base through it and the position you sleep in the first night moulds into the mattress forever. Save your money and buy a decent brand. As the saying goes buy cheap pay dear except they aren't cheap.0
