Had a busy week Snaggs.
Got taken for a carvery meal on Saturday for Mum and Dad's anniversary.
DD2's birthday yesterday so had all the family round for a buffet 'party'. Sadly it rained so we had to squeeze in here. (glad I decided against the BBQ).
Just finished clearing up. May take the rest of the day off after I've checked the job sites again.0 -
Maz-replied on your diary.
I've not stopped and have been up since 5. Just going to go to Tesco and fill up my car...Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -

Hey all (and hi Lou - how you doing dude?! Cockles?!)
Have wandered in here because my Bank Holiday is a non-event. 2 out of 3 rugrats are ill (we had to get Tamiflu for one of them over the weekend - which also coincided with youngest's birthday party - nice), so the planned day trip to Brighton has morphed into going to Blockbuster so the children can watch their 100th DVD of the school holidays.
Hi Rupe:wave:
Sounds like you arent having the best Bank Hols, kids eh, who would have them? Mothers and Fools:rolleyes:
Cockles are free on Original and Extra Easy days:DBut these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -

I love cockles, I had some on Wednesday whilst sitting on the beach. Yums.
Had a productive morning and am nearly ready for the builders to come on Wednesday. Just sitting down with a Philly and cucumber wrap and a large pot of tea.
Nice to see you back Bookie - you were missed :j"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
I'm feeling really bleurgh today.
I feel like I'm letting the kids down, not being able to get them 'stuff'. DD would love a laptop, so she can do homework in her room etc, DS is about to start high school so will no doubt also have loads of homework to do soon. I can foresee big rows on puter time, with me probably having to miss out on time here. Need to find a bargain laptop - maybe on BOGOF
We've never been on a family holiday, neither of them have ever been on a plane
Feel crap

Spud I know what you mean hun, could you find a cheapo laptop from somewhere, I know at our carboot there is a chap that obviously picks them up, reconditions them and sells them on, come with money back guarantee...is there someone local who might do the same? They are very cheap normally
Ive just listed Bea's push chair in our local paper..hoping to get £50 for it! Money money is coming to me to pay debts....I will be debt free!I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

Awwww Spud - I think we all have days like that. Is there any room in your budget to start saving towards one of the £9.50 sun holidays when they next crop up?
