    Morning all.

I'm really going to have to completely reorganise my bedroom I think - which is where my PC is. Now DD is home, the current orientation of the PC means she can sneak up on me and see what I'm doing before I realise! This is not good. A mother needs to have some secrets....

    oh soappie am intrigued...what secrets.....:D:D:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

thanks for the hugs everyone after a nights sleep my mood has lifted...all the basics are still there but i dont feel so bad about it today:p

    might start my own thread

DEBS CHANGING ROOMS but that would mean less time on task and more time on here:rolleyes::rolleyes: not good

sincere thanks to everyone who got me through a black day

That's a shame, I would happily have come to help you. Maybe there will be some nice flyladies near where you live who can help.

Also, do you have any skills you could barter for help with the decorating? For example, I don't know what you've done as a job before, but we've got a friend who's an accountant and we are going to ask her if she would help DH with his accounts in return for him cutting her hedges. If she doesn't want that, we will pay her, but I wondered if you could do something similar - there are schemes online where you can exchange things like dog walking, gardening, housework and in return someone else will do things you need doing.

I can't remember what it's called now...will go and investigate ETA: just google skills swap and loads of things come up

im not bad at decorating so long as im left on my own......its the cleaning and letting go of the clutter that im bad at

    thanks for your support rosepink

    Morning all,
Not sure what flying will be done today- I really should sort the photos as it is the last thing on my weekly list and been carried forward already. Sooooo tired though.
Hugs Zoe, take it easy and be good to yourself.
Don't be over doing it Wilf! Glad you feel a bit better this morning!
Crafty glad the floods have not affected you, and hope anyone else in that area is ok,
Hugs to anyone else who needs them and see you all on next weeks list, if not before!

Me too Wilf. My DH is the prince of procrastination - although to be fair he works very long hours.

The only way I got the last house done with two toddlers was to book them into nursery on a Wednesday morning every week and then do four hours solid cleaning/decorating/decluttering without stopping for a rest or (absolutely fatal) just switching the laptop on for a few minutes. Having littles certainly taught me to get on with things when I did get time.

Good luck with it, let us know if you do start a thread and do before and afters. I am nosey, and I also find posting pictures makes me get on!

Water Butts have arrived so DH can get them connected over the weekend.
Toilet playing up so that needs fixing.

Town for a small food shop and some bank visiting.

Work out what needs to be vacuum packed (bedding etc) and do it
[STRIKE]Sort out Christmas presents given to us last year - put away/get rid[/STRIKE]
Find home for left over stuff on bed
Package stuff up from course at work and put in loft/put away
Work out what to do with other stuff in room

Sort out/put box of paperwork somewhere
    Tidy inside/on top of wardrobe
    Move chair back downstairs
Put shelves in cupboard for books

OH is loving the tidy house. I showed him my list to get everything else finished but he hates lists so I may as well have been talking to a brick wall. I have tried to show him they are manageable tasks and I may slowly be getting through to him.

We are going out in about an hour so I am going to try and get on the way to striking another thing from my list :j OH is marking school work so I should have some peace.

  • Hi ssl :hello:
Yes I'm OK thanks (well apart from fighting with my OU assignment)
The great thing about being retired is that if you don't have any appointments you don't have to go out.

Glad your Aunt and Uncle are OK. The pictures on the news were a real shock. According to the paper this morning there was also quite a bit of flooding in low lying bits of Aberdeen.
One poor chap had the basement of his piano repair business flooded
Dry and some sunshine this morning - hope it lasts.

I didnt realise that there had been flooding in Aberdeen too. Summer is definately over...both the bank and Tesco had the heating on this morning. Oh and I take my strop about the bank back. I forgot it was an English bank holiday on Monday, despite the fact that I took Monday off so I could spend it with my English BF!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Doh!!

Have had a quick wizz around the hall and kitchen. Am heading off to the local farmers market with my Aunt in 20 mins or so. I say farmers market. It is possibly the smallest one in th country, but the suppliers are excellent. Think I will buy some ham or gammon for tea. Ooooh, change of plan. We are going now.

    See you later folks
