People have to pay more for houses?

People have to get into more debt to afford a home?

    Good news?

    I don't understand.

In general, existing homeowners will see this as good news.

Bad news for FTBers which is why the general advice is buy now, or this winter.

Fantastic. Been priced out of the market for about 5 years, but the advice is to buy now!

Not sure how long it will take for it to sink into the nation that FTB's (in general) can't buy. Prices to high.

    ETA: in general.

Prices are unlikely to go below the bottom seen in February. 20% down from peak has allowed people who were priced out, are now in a position to buy, as we can see.

If you still can't afford it, then maybe home ownership may not be for you. Remember you don't have a right to own your home.

Anyway, Graham, I thought you bought a flat, so how can you be priced out?

No. That's just been banded around by some as some sort of "ha ha, Graham bought a flat" for their amusement.
