I've just realised that one of my claims to fame is having told many hundreds of pre-pubescent girls (and boys) what a clitoris is. All in a day's work for a primary school teacher.;)
I suppose it might have been controversial at the time we introduced real sex ed, around the late 70s or early 80s, but surely not now?
I can't be bothered to find the thread anyway. All I'll observe is that it would be great if parents were to name & explain body parts and their functions correctly, because very often they don't. It would be nice if they were to lay off dressing their daughters in deliberately provocative outfits and dolling up their bedrooms in pink Playboy-logoed accessories too, but now I'm whingeing.......0 -

Great. I am glad you taught natural history to those youngsters.
But I can't remember if they look like a Turkish or a Galapagos perhaps you can help.

They'd hate me. Jeans are "for best" (even though they're about 6 years old now and were donated to me) .... and I have NO idea what a Balmain blazer is.I wear jeans all the time and a Balmain blazer is beyond my slender means, I suspect I would not be welcome amongst the fashioniastas0 -

Sorry, you've lost me there. The most famous natural history item from the Galapagos is of course the tortoise......Ah, yes, I see now! Nine year old have been known to get things a bit wrong, no matter how accurate the input.
Of course there is this one too, which I've always meant to add to my collection, but it would probably be a bit tender here:

Apparently, he knows, or knew. He must be older than me, so he may not remember.;)
Personally, I think this was one of the worst records of all time, though the final couple of lines were stolen by many others....

At last a thread on this board I can join in with, I wore shoulder pads the first time round and let me tell you I won't be doing it again, they seemed to be either like extra breasts on the front of my chest or like humps on my back............. Either way they were WRONG WRONG WRONG.
At my age thongs are just wrong.............
Oops edited to say (as we are swapping boards) I think a house is to live in, no more no less......... I bought my house 25 years ago and its my beloved home............ I am happy prices have dropped because I want my children to be able to afford to live in my area, not somewhere miles out renting from some faceless landlord that wont allow pets, children, smoking, more than one car, or any other excuse they can come up with.............0 -
Looking forward to seeing you all help our famous 'studentphil'............... Any unusual/helpful/funny replies will guarantee you lots of thanks
