Does anyone know if you can do the recommend a friend bit on top of the £100.00 offer? - you know the one.... recommend a friend and get £25.00 each.

i'd like to change to abbey from a and l and get this offer.....but would it be allowed is the question!!!

As the other poster said - it doesn't look like this is possible. I was wondering the same thing.

At the moment, I'm quite annoyed with A & L - I opened up a Online Saver Issue 4 a couple of months ago, interest rate was above 3%, when i checked the other day with C/S i was informed that the rate was now 3.5%.

Yet they are advertising Online saver issue 5 at 3.15%.

I can see I am going to have to be a lot more diligent about moving my money about.

From memory 20.00 tracking came in around 6 days afer 0.00 tracking and was before account was funded. Half hour difference in time I assume represents time of application and time of acceptance of application.

I walked past my local branch of Abbey today and they had a poster up in the branch with the offer of a £100 bonus for switching. Offer is running until the 8th November. I didn't go in so didnt see the full details but thats what I could see from outside the branch!

I wonder if someone who has not had either account for 3 Months + would get 100.00 incentive payments from both if they apply for both at the same time as strictly speaking at the time of both applications an account would have been held with neither. :think:
