    we're going to be living in the north east but dh will be working with greater manc, so north west......

    we went for a good walk around and met some locals.... accents might take some time to get used to though xx

    when i lived in gtr manc i used to get teased about my welsh accent. now i've moved back to wales i get teased about my english accent. just can't win :rolleyes:

    it really does help to have a core group to relate to doesn't it! It's nearly the first anniversary of this thread isn't it???

    you lot started 17th October and I think I joined on the 18th. I had about £19.3K debt and about £1.5k savings

    By mid October I will be at about £15.2K of debt (AFTER buying a £4K car) without the car I would have been down to 11.2K of debt despite being out of work most of the last 6 months.

    I still have savings of around £1.4K plus just got a pension refund of about £2K... So if I do start work soon there is still scope to get on with the challenge!

    Oh my goodness, two weeks yesterday until we are 1!!!

    ETA: I went and checked - I didn't just know that

    I can't believe how quickly it has gone and how much debt we have all cleared (or the fact that since the new thread we are averaging almost a page a day - how we natter ;))
