Starnac, that is really shoddy, chances are he was being full of hot air (trying to put you off so you did less well)
CAFC - welcome back!!! I am going to NY for first time in April, what are your top three things to see?? On my list at th moment are Ellis Island, High Walk and the Guggenheim as well as boat trip of some sort (I love a good boat trip)
Now, I have a dilemma...
I have used my credit card to pay for two holidays (one of them being NY), I used it because then I get protection and also it is 0% until April. But I don'y know whether to add this into my total as debt??? My dilemma:
It is debt: it is on a credit card and therefore is debt
It is not debt: I am spending in the same way that I would if I were debt free, the difference being that I am using the 'deferred' payment to put money towards my existing debts rather than into savings£34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)

Oh! we have been moved to diaries, when did that happen???£34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)

PAID hun I would say my top 3 things are:
Top of the Rock observation desk, glorious views of the park and the empire state, much less crowded than the ESB as well....
Walk across (well half way across) the Brooklyn bridge at dusk....
And then I would say the night bus tour as well, although this was pot luck because we had a great guide.
If you want a good boat tour although it is short go with NYC duck, it takes you aroud the city by road, and then dunks you in the water, its a boat bus, we had a great guide on that, and it was way cool!!! Fu and upbeat rather than the full circle tour which gets a bit boring.
Dont bother with liberty island, just go on the staten island ferry for free and you get the best views....Wealth is not measured by currency0 -

Good morning everyone....
How are we all doing today?
We're aiming to get through all our laundry today and then ive got loads of bits to pack up for posting, managed to make £40 on my ebay listings...... want to try and keep that in my paypal and get to £100 eventually and then its a nice size overpayment.
DH also needs to send out letters to all his creditors to arrange reduced payments for a short term....Wealth is not measured by currency0 -

LOL - normally we are just talking about handbags, I fear we have plumbed new depths now...
Thank you for the tips for NY, someone else said to me today about the 'top of the rock' thing, in their words 'same views as the empire state building but with the empire state building in them' :j
I did a duck tour in Boston a couple of years ago :T shall be heading there for sure, I hadn't seen that they had one so very happy to heare that they do!£34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)

I have no idea where I stand on the paperhat challenge now - I am planning to just count again once I am in a job
yeah I noticed about Friday that we had been moved to diaries - I thought it was strange as to me it is still a challenge but who cares....
