I wouldn't want to go back to petrol now - we reckon this car saves us between £8 and £12 a week compared with our previous petrol automatic.... You can fit 3 car seats in both scenics and merivas...
Hi, I'll have a look at Meriva's then, what engine size is yours? I'm looking for something with a smaller engine so 1.4 litre ideally, Diesel cars are noisier I find than petrol and diesel is slighty more expensive. I have a Trajet and use about £15 and that is just doing the school runs and pottering to the local two shopping centres.
I was originally wanting to sell the car and pay the money off my debts, but I really need a car with the 3 kids so the next idea was to get something smaller and cheaper.
Thanks for the advice.

Hi everyone. I'm also feeling a bit down... But on the moneysaving front I've got a freezerful of food and 8 NSDs under my belt already.
SH - bellydancing sounds hilarious. I've got one of those belts too, from Turkey, but have only worn it in private so far.
Well done those of you planning Christmas already. My mum told me not to get them presents this year, but I can't not get my parents anything! I'm going to do some DIY jobs around the house for them, but still feel I should give them a token pressie too.0 -

I just think it will be fun and will help me get a better shape and some exercise.... A lot cheaper than a gym and will get me out of the house in adult company at least one evening a week... I went to a lesson once it was a really good laugh as we were all rubbish and uncoordinated. The other good thing is that a lot of the people in the group were on the larger side so I fit right in :rotfl:
i would be afraid that i would look like them. i'm not on the large side (size 10bottom/12top) but have a wobbly tum after having DD. i know a bit of exercise would tighten it up but i haven't got time (i'm also a bit lazy)

Glamour magazine was outside my work today giving free goody bags. Got Neil's Yard hydrating cream,Sanctuary body butter, mascara, false eye lashes, shampoo, conditioner and couple of other bits and bobs. Well pleased. Checked straight away how much they went on for on ebay.
I'll keep some of it, but if I can make money from free stuff, I will.
Hope everyone's ok today. Yesterday evening was lovely and we stayed playing on the beach until we couldn't see the ball anymore which was about half 8.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -
Oh, and update on debt busting. Student loan sent me a letter yesterday to tell me how much I still owed (well, interest till 1/9). The interest has obviously gone down because it dropped by 1%. But checked the conversion rate and I'm about £200 out on my current debt...:( I guess I should change my sig to reflect this, which will mean my debt will go slightly up.
:(
