    Thanks Snow White,

I still feel so disorganised but I am trying to get as much done as possible. OH is going into the cupboard tonight to get my work stuff and I think when that is in order I will feel better about things.

SH - sorry to hear your employers are acting like such !!!!!!. And well done on the debt repayments. The earrings you bought sound nice. Could you maybe take the unecessary stuff back to the shop and just keep the jewellery? :money:
Hi Snow white - hope you feel better soon. Some people swear by garlic tablets and vitamin C for protecting your immune system. I eat a lot of hazelnuts that are supposed to be good for your immune system too!

I am considering taking a few bits back - really should. I justify it to myself that they would make good pressies etc but really it would help me more not to have this kind of stuff lying around - I have too many present boxes as it is. Some of the stuff I bought was craft stuff and I have way too much of that too! It was just a bargain and I struggle to resist those!:eek:

naughty saving on the spending. (i am sat here on my high horse :A as that's the kind of thing i would do and i am pleased it's not me for a change :D )

DH has got an interview tomorrow morning. we've all got our finger's crossed cos he really wants it and we need the money. i got accepted for a c/c that has 0% BT til march 2011 so i'm going to move some off the mint card (17ish%) then pay off what's left so that'll save us some money in interest.

i've started my christmas presents for next year and went back to church for the first time since the snow came in (they cancelled the services due to what is mostly an ageing congregation, h&s etc) so am feeling quite good about myself. :j
Starnac you've been busy. Good luck for OH with the interview! Hope you get the result you want!
I will be 36 weeks on Friday. I know I will probably end up buying stuff that I won't use too but it's so exciting with the first baby! I am hoping we will be lucky enough to have 2 so they can all be passed down and then given to my sister when I am finished. We have had to buy everything because we live away from home so missed out on getting stuff from my friends but it will be nice to be able to give them away to my sister when I am finished.
I can't believe how fast its gone! I bet you can't wait to finish!

Yep, looking forward to finishing work :)

Just realised that I will have a heap of annual leave when I return from mat leave so wondering if I should say I will go back on a 4 day week (and take 1 day off per week til the end of my contract Jan 2011) or will I go back to a 3 day week and take 1 day off per week so I only have to do 2 days. Considering the project was a full-time job up until mat leave I think I might be better to do the 4/3 day option. Anyone got any ideas?

CAFC, sorry about the job. Sounds like it was just a technicality though with the driving license, so he can apply again and like you said, at least he has another job until then.

Hope your tooth's feeling better. Did you get anything for the DVDs?

Tooth is ok-ish, its more in my jaw now, and the most annoying thing is i cant lay on my side to sleep, which means im even more uncomfy :rotfl:

Didnt sell the dvds in the end, the place we went to wasnt buying, despite having signs up everywhere saying "we buy your unwanted dvds"....

Back to CAB tomorrow with more paperwork so hope to update you all tomorrow on that one.

CMD - I love the cot hun!!! Really sweet, all of it is perfect for unisex baby :p £80 for a stand and bedding though.... Ive been really lucky my mum has been picking up bits and pieces and they bought our cot (ebay), got given a moses basket, got some clothes (freecycle) and have bought our pram, otherwise i dont know what we'd be doing.

DH and I were in primark earlier as well pricing up sleepsuits etc, which all seemed pretty reasonable. I'd love to be able to spend in places like Mothercare etc but its just not gonna be do-able for us, and I keep telling myself that the baby wont know or care, least i hope not :rotfl:

Just really need to hear some good news tomorrow at C A B, feeling a bit lacking again, but so so glad I get to see my puppy this weekend :A

CMD - what i did was take 4 weeks of annual leave right at the end of my mat leave giving me an extra month off with pay. that worked well for us. i would defo agree with doodles though. use your leave at the beginning (before baby) to rest as much as possible. everyone says that your life will change after having a baby but you never realise just how much til your own baby comes. i wish i had rested more before DD arrived instead of trying to do everything just cos i didn't have to go to work.

good news here in the starnac household. DH got the job he interviewed for yesterday. it's the job he really wanted and we can really start busting the debts and saving for a deposit now with the extra wage coming in. we are so pleased. :j
