How are you feeling today CAFC?

Just overpaid £500 of my Northern Rock loan. It feels great to be in the position to start paying back on the loan now, instead of the credit cards.

Yeah, credit cards are gone. As I was sick and housebound over Xmas and we didn't put anything into baby savings in Dec we decided to pay off my cc.

Just waiting for a 0% offer to come through from Virgin. Maybe I should just bite the bullet and just ring them to see if there is anything?

I am hoping to get to under 10k at the end of Jan. I have the £200 standard loan amount to come out and then just need to find an extra £350 or thereabouts. I am up to £70 on my AQA this month and hope to get to £250 so need to find £100. Might take £100 out of potential baby savings just to get to below the £10k. It would be a nice milestone to reach before the baby comes anyway.

Just thought, I have some work expenses to come through so can use them to top up what I need. I don't think it is much but even if it is £50 that will be okay.

It's just much easier to whizz through when OH has a job as well. I found it very difficult when I was the sole earner, with debts and trying to support him as well. He would do the same for me, and didn't bat an eyelid when I said I want to reduce to 3 days a week when the baby is born.

I don't think I will manage my DFD this year with the baby coming along and I have my sisters wedding and another wedding in Italy. If I could get to under £5K I would be very very happy.

I think June 2011 might be more realistic. Then it will be on to mortgage overpayments!

ello all

not making it to CAB walk in sessions today, feel rotten, and its snowed again! Am tucked up in bed feeling really sorry for myself, got rotten headache, all my muscles ache, sore throat, but baby is having a whale of a time and has been prancing around in my belly for hours, and its starting to ache now LOL

Am going to send a rather cheeky email to the letting agent about what we can do for this house... if they agree then i can start our housing benefit claim, which will help us out.
Im going to sign on now as well and should hopefully get appt for that next week.
And DH was offered a job yesterday as well! HUZZAH! He's not particularly interested in it, and has an assessment day today for something he does really want. If he passes that, the interviews are mon-wed next week and the new job isnt starting till nxt monday so with any luck he'll find out about the one he does want before the one he's not bothered about starts LOL

So feel a bit better although am having a nightmare getting any contact with anyoe from old deposit company.....Do you think its worth posting a copy of the email as well?

And to everyone on this thread - I'm moving!!! Supposedly this weekend as long as the girl who wants my room pays her deposit today. Fingers crossed cos this would be absolutely perfect timing as pay day tomorrow.
