what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?

firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.

The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!

It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis

PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.

Morning all..from an extremely cold Horace..not been around due to a power failure at 12.40pm on Saturday afternoon, the power came back on at 2am this morning:mad::eek:

Central networks kindly let me have £10 to spend on a hot meal and a hot drink yesterday (the only place open was subway so I had to have a hot sandwich and a hot drink) - I will be able to claim this back. They rang me at 8.30pm last night saying that I could go and book into a premier inn or travel lodge overnight and they would pay if I got a receipt - I was in bed at the time wrapped in a duvet, a fleecy blanket and fully clothed, there was no way that I was going to start phoning taxis etc to take me somewhere warm:mad: I put the heater on at 2am so that the room was warm when I got up (eventually up at 6am), am feeling cold still and a tad fluey, also have a gippy tummy as haven't eaten properly since Friday (at least I am not dead which is one good thing). Was walking back from the corner shop yesterday afternoon (went to buy a paper and have a free warm) when the elastic went in my knickers and I developed a John Wayne swagger in attempt to stop them sliding down under my joggers:eek: The knicker elastic was the last straw.

Horace - you're having a run of bad luck at the moment, things have to get better for you, fingers crossed anyway. Hope you feel better soon and, more importantly, manage to warm up again.

Oh god Horace, thats awful. And they only give you £10 for one meal and one drink? I don't know how you coped. (i'd have gone to a pub though and made my hot drink last several hours).
Take care of yourself and get some proper food inside you today.
Regarding the power keeping going off - is it a very local thing? just your street or the whole area?
Can you still buy those cans of hot drinks that used to exist?, where when you opened the can the drink contents used to heat up? they'd be handy to keep a couple in if you can, then even if you don't have a flask ready you could at least get a hot drink.

I remember as a teen we once had no power for 12days -but we had an open fire and a rayburn so we did manage. Got through a lot of candles and torches (still managed to get to school all but 2days though).
