A hugely decadent bump from me - I treated myself to a new loo brush today, 50p in Wilkinsons :rotfl:
Not used it yet, don't want to spoil it.

Last of the big spenders, PPP, hope you enjoy (if that's the right word) your new purchase!! How many bricks have you saved up for now?

Me too Lula, can't get out of the bloomin' house, drive and road like a flippin' skating rink! Roll on summer, never mind spring :D

Freezing cold outside, hope the trolls get frostbite tonight!

    Morning everyone ... bit chilly.

Might be time for one of these as well - it's cold, and trolls will no doubt be lurking around.

    Hi everybody.

Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.

What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.

If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.

what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?

firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.

The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!

It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis

PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.

    Kind wishes
    P

Hi all..we had a small sprinkling of snow today but I am not venturing out (the chemist will have to hang on to the rest of my prescription until it is warmer), it is currently -6 outdoors today and it is way too cold. Am being brave though as I havent put the heating on yet in this room but the living room is different - the heater is on and the clothes are drying.

Can't go out anyway as my jogging bottoms will fall down as they are silly sort with a low waist and they are too short in the leg after they shrunk in the wash:eek:

    Hi all,
I am officially fed up with snow now . And we have another week of this to look forward to apparently :eek: .

Just off to get some hot soup to warm up, I'm being brave and haven't put the heating on but think I may have to relent in a bit - it's -10 outside here .

    Back later.
