Evening All and hi to solventsoon
All new bumping recruits are always welcome.Hi everybody.
Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.
What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.
If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.
what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?
firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.
The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!
It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis
PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.
Kind wishes
P
I am trying to comfort the crazed dog and trying not to laugh at her amusing antics. I have to confess that the first I heard of the fireworks was when she climbed onto the sofa next to me - I was just 'resting my eyes for a moment' not accidentally asleep you understand.
Hopefully the rescue remedy will start to take effect soon as I've just dragged her off the sofa again - she is unable to behave or even hear commands when she is this scared.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Tixy - try massaging her ear tips..that is usually enough to relax them and send them to sleep.
Its like bombs going off here...I was kind of dozing on the sofa earlier (not asleep but not fully awake either) when I was jolted by a huge flash and loud bang..then I realised its bombing time again:mad: There are moves afoot to reduce the loudness of the bangs as fireworks currently give bangs of 120 decibels which is too loud really for domestic fireworks (not that those that are sold in the firework shop that has mysteriously re-opened are domestic ones but they are sold to householders:mad:). Its hell around here because we get fireworks to celebrate Diwali, fireworks to cause nuisance, fireworks for guy fawkes, fireworks for Saturdays, Sundays, New Years Day, Birthdays,..you name it we get them all year round and all night long:mad: Yes, I am a grumpy old woman.
Nargle...I am on my way to my first million..buttons:rotfl:
Yes Numpts..when the bin strike appeared on BBC Breakfast a few days' ago they were saying that there are now plagues of rats in Leeds so you had best put some string around the ankles of your trousers:eek:0 -

That would be five star accomodation in Leeds:o
