SS - thanks for saying that my chicken will be fine tomorrow (its resting in the fridge). Lula..I could put it in the freezer but I already have a chicken crown in there and I could do roast chicken, chicken sandwiches, cold chicken and chips, and the carcass can be shoved in a pan of water with some herbie derbies, an onion and when it has stewed for a few hours the bones will be removed and some veg added to make lovely soup...if I have enough chicken I will make some roast dinners and freeze them.
Numpty...I got the chicken from the whoopsie shelf and everything else I found on other shelves...you can tell that you live on pot noodles:rolleyes:
Rog - are you saying that asda smartprice mince pies are to be avoided?0 -
Hi everybody.
Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.
What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.
If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.
what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?
firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.
The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!
It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis
PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.
Kind wishes

Evening all fellow bumpers, get yer thermals on, it's going to be a cold one tonight! Thank heavens I'm at home and it's the OH who's on nights! Hee hee hee! Mind you, it's my turn tomorrow night so shouldn't crow about it.
Rog - if the bosses caught you with your Asda mince pie they might accuse you of nicking the merchandise - another reason not to accept it!!!
Three cheers for the valiant dustmen of Leeds, Numpty's bin is empty for the first time since the summer!
Horace - you can always precook the chicken and have it cold tomorrow, or even sliced up and reheated - it is perfectly safe as long as you heat it up properly and take all the usual food hygiene precautions! Of course, I may just have asbestos innards........One life - your life - live it!0 -
Oh dear....feel like a bit of a rant tbh !!!
Why do people invent AE`s for themselves & pretend to be someone else & then think that no-one notices....seen it tonight & feel a bit upset by it actually.
Sorry guys I know I should `let it go`....just didnt want to post elsewhere but this time its really, really got to me:o:o
Phew rant over....well for now anyway.
How are we all tonight?0 -

Are you an incurable insomniac, numpt?
Good morning everybody, from a cold and damp Wiltshire :hello: :hello: :hello:
I have just gotten upand was looking forward to enjoying a relaxing Sunday at home when my peace was shattered by the phone.
ASDA 'need' me to do a shift this afternoon.
I wish I could afford to say no - just once in a while - but, with Christmas just around the corner, needs must.
Have a great day everyone. :wave:I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

Happy trundling, Rog - think of the money!
Angel - my brief excursions into the Arms lead me to the conclusion that there's an awful lot of bitter, twisted people there with not so much chips but ruddy great blocks of concrete on their shoulders......although I suppose it's as well they vent their spleen there rather than upset the rest of the forums...... apologies to those out there who go to the Arms to relax and discuss the issues of the day in a sensible, civilised manner, but when you see so much vitriol it can be very off putting. Anyway, back to the Land of Nice that is the Notice to Newcomers thread - good morning everyone! One life - your life - live it!0
