I got all the 'free' acrobatics last month, numpt, when some poor lad on a motorbike decided to overtake a queue of traffic that was waiting for me to pull out in the van. He saw me, braked, lost control, bike hit wall, bike and rider shot into the air and, as if in slow motion, gradually separated from each other, missing my van, and front windscreen, by inches, before coming to rest about 30 feet up the road. _pale_ _pale_
Miraculously, the biker was okay - his bike was another story, though. Hadn't even started to pay for it, now faced with a complete write-off and a summons for driving without due care and attention, poor lad.
So, if you don't mind, I think I'll stick to the free fireworks.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

Hi everybody.
Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.
What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.
If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.
what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?
firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.
The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!
It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis
PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.
Kind wishes
PIf many little people, in many little places, do many little things,
they can change the face of the world.

Hi folks including newbie Solventsoon:wave:
Hope you are all well today?
Have had a thoroughly bad day today - my business email got fixed and I had over 400 emails to trawl through, loads of them missed opportunities:mad: Then I was making some coffee in the kitchen and looked out of the window as I do (I am nosey) and was horrified to see that someone (probably the council) had stolen (chopped down) the wonderful copper beech tree over the road and have left a thick stump..there was nothing wrong with the flippin thing and now I miss it:rolleyes:
What's the betting Numpty that just before Christmas the bin men will go back to work and expect their chrismas boxes from their customers:rolleyes: I can't see why they are striking myself - they won't be getting paid less, its just that they won't get their annual bonuses until such time as those in similar jobs reach the same level of pay...we had all this malarky in Birmingham earlier in the year:rolleyes:
I have another busy week of meetings next week and am off to South Cerney again and at some point soon will be having regular trips to Swindon because I am halping to organise a massive fun run next year in aid of Help for Heroes (all monies raised will go to the charity).
Was hoping for an NSD today but have to pay the tv licence:rolleyes:0 -

The problem with the Leeds thing is they want the binmen to drop down about £5k a year
I'm sure someone in the council will get that as a bonus:whistle:
and increase performance, I think i rememeber this right" from 180 properties per hour up to 220 properties per hour
and you will not have a job anyway in April as you will be made redundant and can reapply for your job at minimum wage with a new company, as your existing employer are barred from applying to tender for the contract

Evening all and welcome to the asylum, Solventsoon! Feel free to contribute - we have to keep this thread on the first page so that the message about trolls is not forgotten.
Rog - guess you'll be busy with deliveries for the next few weeks - you might get some Christmas tips maybe?
Horace - full of busy as usual, on your way to your first million?
Numpty - I imagine you sitting in a dark hovel wearing fingerless gloves, hands stretched out over a solitary candle, tin of Spam for Christmas dinner.....One life - your life - live it!0
