Nationwide online banking fault

As others have suggested, I think this may be a problem with your PC. I would download and run C Cleaner from here> http://www.ccleaner.com/download/"A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Come on, there are to many people having the same problem, there is another thread about it here

If Nationwide put a message on the web site saying there is a fault with online banking how can that be my PC ? I can't understand why people keep suggesting it is my PC I couldn't put the message on the web site myself, also apparently it made the news in the Guardian .
btw I use cc cleaner regularly I am very computer literate and protected up to the hilt .
Anyhow thank you to the kind people who suggested it was my PC thankfully it wasn't :-)0 -
If you're not already registered for TSS - Telephone Self Service. You can transfer money between accounts using TSS, you can also pay bills. This is ideal if you can't get onto your online banking for any reason.
The staff in the call centres can't transfer money on the phone but you can transfer from e-save to flex in a branch. You can also amend standing orders in a branch, if you do this and the sto is due very soon mae sure the branch do the amendment there in the branch and don't send it to HO to be done.
I know it is hassle to go into the branch, no doubt there'll be a queue but it will save charges.
When using internet banking at nationwide always access it by typing www.nationwide.co.uk don't save it as a favourite and access it that way as it can cause problems.

We suggested it MAY be a problem with your PC. Many of us who use Nationwide online banking daily have not experienced the issues you described.
I do not believe everything I read, especially not in the Guardian
Anyway, I am glad you have resolved your problem "A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

I notice you haven't actually pressed their Thanks button to show that you really mean to say thank you.
Actually only 3 people suggested it maybe your PC and probably dozens more thought it. Have you actually considered that these people may have been trying to help you!!
Glad you are sorted now though.never chew the umbilical cord!!0 -
I have a Nationwide online account with a flex account.
I don't keep much in the Flex A/C but transfer money into it online as and when I need it, for the last two weeks there has been an intermittent fault with Nationwide online banking, this means I have to keep trying most of the day to get into it, if and when I do it is so overloaded and slow it takes ages.
I want to use my flex card on holiday but if I can't get into it online to transfer money to take away then it will be a huge problem.
Are there any other commission free debit cards besides Flex as I am seriously thinking of pulling out of Nationwide, they used to be good and very reliable.
The only option left is to transfer money to your flex account in the branch:A :A :A :A :A :A :A
Over 1000 pound in debt.
To many red letters.
Welfare Rights helped me out.
Now I pay a little amount each month to clear debt.
So much eaiser the pressure has been taken off me. :A :A :A :A :A :A :A0 -

I am sorry if I came across as ungrateful, I didn't mean to, I was only pointing out that it couldn't be my PC. It is strange though how it only affects some people and not others, I would like to know why, I will ask when I go in my local branch later this week.
(thank you buttons pressed now ;-))0 -

It would be interesting to know why you and some others have not experienced it, I could actually log in to the banking just couldn't access my Flex and e-savings accounts, it seems ok at the moment, but I won't hold my breath ;-)
btw The Guardian is not a paper that I would buy LOL
(sorry to Guardian readers, no offence.0 -

Confidential Business Proposal
I have a solution to your problem :j
If you send me all your account numbers and security details I promise I will put you in touch with my honest and trustworthy friend who can include you in this fantastic oppotunity, but you must not tell anyone else or they will all wish to be involved.
Having consulted with my colleagues and based on the information gathered from the Nigerian Chambers Of Commerce And Industry, I have the privilege to request your assistance to transfer the sum of $47,500,000.00 (forty seven million, five hundred thousand United States dollars) into your accounts.
The above sum resulted from an over-invoiced contract, executed, commissioned and paid for about five years (5) ago by a foreign contractor. This action was however intentional and since then the fund has been in a suspense account at The Central Bank Of Nigeria Apex Bank.
We are now ready to transfer the fund overseas and that is where you come in. It is important to inform you that as civil servants, we are forbidden to operate a foreign account; that is why we require your assistance. The total sum will be shared as follows: 70% for us, 25% for you and 5% for local and international expenses incidental to the transfer.
The transfer is risk free on both sides. I am an accountant with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).
If you find this proposal acceptable, we shall require the following documents: Your Nationwide flex account details.
(a) your banker's name, telephone, account and fax numbers.
(b) your private telephone and fax numbers —for confidentiality and easy communication.
(c) your letter-headed paper stamped and signed.
Alternatively we will furnish you with the text of what to type into your letter-headed paper, along with a breakdown explaining, comprehensively what we require of you. The business will take us thirty (30) working days to accomplish.
Please reply urgently.
Best regards
