Dear Trish & Lidsay
Confidential Business Proposal
I have a solution to your problem :j
If you send me all your account numbers and security details I promise I will put you in touch with my honest and trustworthy friend who can include you in this fantastic oppotunity, but you must not tell anyone else or they will all wish to be involved.
Having consulted with my colleagues and based on the information gathered from the Nigerian Chambers Of Commerce And Industry, I have the privilege to request your assistance to transfer the sum of $47,500,000.00 (forty seven million, five hundred thousand United States dollars) into your accounts.
The above sum resulted from an over-invoiced contract, executed, commissioned and paid for about five years (5) ago by a foreign contractor. This action was however intentional and since then the fund has been in a suspense account at The Central Bank Of Nigeria Apex Bank.
We are now ready to transfer the fund overseas and that is where you come in. It is important to inform you that as civil servants, we are forbidden to operate a foreign account; that is why we require your assistance. The total sum will be shared as follows: 70% for us, 25% for you and 5% for local and international expenses incidental to the transfer.
The transfer is risk free on both sides. I am an accountant with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).
If you find this proposal acceptable, we shall require the following documents: Your Nationwide flex account details.
(a) your banker's name, telephone, account and fax numbers.
(b) your private telephone and fax numbers —for confidentiality and easy communication.
(c) your letter-headed paper stamped and signed.
Alternatively we will furnish you with the text of what to type into your letter-headed paper, along with a breakdown explaining, comprehensively what we require of you. The business will take us thirty (30) working days to accomplish.
Please reply urgently.
Best regards

I got another one of those the other day, usually it is 3 a day so I sent this as a reply in the hope I wound them up.

Thank you so much for your email my family is so poor and malnourished, this will most definitely help us. Even here in the UK when you are not working you cannot always claim benefits.
The local Police here in the UK are sceptical and are investigating you but we trust in you and God and know you are true and good to your word.
I will reply soon when I have managed to save the 100 US$, hopefully tomorrow. I have asked the local Police IT crime unit to leave this to me as it is surely true and a gift from God.
Thank you so much, you have no idea what this means to me, my Wife and 5 children.
If you need any further information just ask, I will not be telling the Police about it as they say they can trace your I.P. address to prosecute but as I said I am sure you are true.
I will email again tomorrow.
May God bless you and your entire family.
Kind Regards

Ugh, I've got this same problem. I cannot log on, yet I failed three times, over a week ago and although I re-registered I haven't been sent my confirmation (which was meant to take 3 days).
I currently have no way of changing a standing order, which means I'm likely going to go overdrawn this month.
