    Afternoon all,

    Ladygrim....congratulations on the good news!

JackieO...so sorry to hear that you had a fall, could you just potter until you are ok again....good people are scarce!

NPM....you are a wonderful mother and should take things as easy as you can when DS goes back to school, you deserve a bit of a rest.

PenPin, good to see you posting.

Ruby....no news on Thunder, we have more or less given up hope at this stage, trying not to think about the possibilities.

Ham and chicken for dinner to-day, with turnip, carrots, cabbage and beetroot as veg.....I much prefer beetroot without vinegar, sometimes I have it with white sauce.

DD2 is busy packing for their return home on Monday, she is finding it difficult to locate socks.....

    Enjoy the rest of Saturday

    Afternoon guys,

well the weather has held out and so far so good. I managed to get the grass cut and do some weeding and pruning after i got back from the supermarket and i`ve finished that pasta sauce :j it`s all in the freezer now and the kitchen is like a bomb site :o there are runner beans everywhere waiting to be blanched and frozen and the freezer has been rearranged and inventoried so i feel a lot happier and organised.

Tea tonight will be hm pizza, dh is having a normal one and i`m having the cauliflower crust one so still low carb but absolutely delicious, i`m off for a ten minute browse and then will sort the kitchen out. Long hot shower awaits and then i can finally relax.

    Ladygrim - Fantastic news :j:j

Penpin - I couldn`t see your doggie either

MeanMarie - Hopefully Thunder will make his way home, i`ll keep my fingers crossed.

Planning on starting the GC again soon :p

    welcome back Tired mum!

am just having a well earned cuppa. The car is loaded for Monday boot sale - we'll use DH's van to go out in tomorrow as its cheaper on fuel than my car. Have mowed some of the lawns but now run out of petrol(both me and the mower:D)

Have also cleaned both boys rooms, DS1 only stops in his once a week usually now that he lives in Worcester. DS2's is usually like a 'before' from How Clean is your House:eek::D

DH is having a curry from Asda for tea(reduced of course;)) not a clue what I fancy yet.

We've both spent the afternoon worrying about how DS2 is getting on in his job, only an hour till we find out what he thinks of the world of work:D

Hope you're all enjoying the weekend x

Thanks Haribo and Sistercas for your mincey suggestions. I went for chilli after all as no-one seemed to mind having beans twice in a day. I'm not so sure it was a good idea knowing what they do to the OH:rolleyes::rotfl:

I made some Baklava muffins from Nigella's Domestic Goddess book for pud. I rarely follow recipes for muffins but these ones are a real treat. It never looks like there'll be enough batter but there always is.

    I feel absolutely stuffed now:rolleyes::D

My husband was swimming in the Great Scottish Swim today, a mile in open water.
Tonight we are celebrating with fish and chips (for the carbs, naturally :)).
Just off to count the September budget cash and make a list for shopping tomorrow.

Ive bought it and I think it is well worth the money. I love the bedrock recipies and I will be cooking both the beef mince (to portion and freeze) and the boiled ham ( to eat) on Monday.

(good heavy book as well if you need to throw it at anyone LOL)
