Morning all!
Good luck with the blood test ruby - I have them a lot too, underactive thyroid in my case.
I'm STILL streaming with a cold, and thought it would've gone by now. Feel like crawling back into bed not doing the school run and work!Wendy x0 -

I didn't quite understand the forum thingy, didn't know what they were deleting!

Swinstie: Did you get the housework done?
Cat: You have my sympathy as I am also full off cold still and just want to stay in bed..Went to bed at 8,30 last night! My nose isn't running as much but now have sore throat and cough!
Princess: You were on early today! Yuck to wet trousers! Good luck telling Mum later.

rubyslipper wrote: »Thanks for all the good wishes ladies! Well, I have to say I'd really like to get this job. Met with HR manager & senior PA, both girls about my age who were lovely. Gave me a proper grilling but seemed really nice. The job sounds so cool - it's PA to 3 directors & the production team in a post-production company in Soho. They basically come in at the end of an advert or movie getting made and do all the special effects and editing. They won an Oscar for the SFX on Gladiator and a Bafta for Doctor Who (both awards were on display in reception - saw an Oscar in real life!). It sounds hectic but v interesting. Just hope I get called back for round 2! Keep everything crossed please!rubyslipper wrote: »Made a flipping marvellous soup for dinner, and yes I do say so myself! It was health/leftover motivated. 4 sweet potatoes, 2 onions, 3 garlic cloves, 1.5pt veg stock, salt, pepper, paprika - boiled til soft then blended. Man alive, LUSH. Plus so nice after a horrible rainy stressy day. Big bowl left for lunch tomorrow, too! Yay!
Got a blood test tomorrow. Am used to them because of having the old Crohns Disease (I even have a favoured blood test vein) but I do hate them.
Eugh, blood tests! They have to lie me down for them coz I always go light-headed:o Its the stress of going to the quacks I think....I've never liked doctors or hospitals:o I usually have to sit in waiting room for 20mins for my blood-pressure to drop...how bad is that?! I even get all stressy when I go with DH....he refuses to let me sit in the car til he's done:( He says its coz can't see properly after he has the eye drops so needs my help....personally I think he's a selfish beggar:rotfl::rotfl:
Princess- good luck for later on honey xx
Hope alls well with everyone:) Got a busy day ahead of me s will hopefully pop back later but I'll be a bit quiet today

Try not to be too sad. Think of it as having gone to car heaven. A better place with as much as petrol (or diesel) as it wants and wide open roads, and no speed cameras

Morning all
Cat - sorry you're still suffering, love what a pain. Shame you can't just crawl back into bed and look after yourself. Hope you feel better.
Princess - GOOD LUCK honey. You're doing the right thing, you really are. Plus there's always the chance that it might not be as bad as you think. Your mum loves you after all!
RM - so sorry about the car. It's seems silly but I know just how emotionally attached you can get to a car. When I was about 8 my mum had a Morris Minor called Yummy (the number plate was YUM) and I remember the day it got taken away for scrap. I sat on my mum's lap in the kitchen and we both cried and cried! I remember my grandad saying 'for crying out loud, it's only a hunk of metal!' Anyway, chin up, as Laura says car heaven is much nicer than this.
Fuzzled - got a really funny mental image of you desperately mashing veg to a pulp!
Just off to get ready for hospital. You don't get an appointment so I have to just take the little test sheet bag thingy and go up there. Could be there for hours! Humph.
