It's my birthday and I wanted to say hi to you. I am still travelling up and down between home and my parents and my dad will have an op soon, altho he is not well at all. Life is hard at the mo - but hey! I am alive, I have reached 46 years old despite all the odds, and being an idiot most of my life, I live in a great place, and my landlady bought me a bottle of Bombay Sapphire and a big Fenwicks gift voucher for my birthday!
Lots of love to you all - I had done a good post I thought, but it has disappeared of somewhere. Princess - your Mum needs advice if that debt was incurred due to a business venture that has now ceased. She can get a lodger tax free under the rent a room scheme, so you not living there would not be a problem financially for her. So pleased to see your photos of the Green comp - you looked a proper class act!
Must go and love to everyone xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Glad you came on and said summat! Miss you love. Hope you have a lovely day hun and hopefully your dad's op will go smoothly and he'll be fine
Rubbish about your scam hun, is it all sorted now did you get your money back?
Come back soon xxxEnd of 2010 I was £8,007.66 in debt

Think I need to go and sit in a darkened room somewhere where things can't go t*ts up.
Ebs, don't feel guilty, you have to look for work. What was the interview for? How'd it go? I have to go for an interview on Monday morning for another temp role at the same comp I'm at now, but in the office in town. Am nervous about it now though, as apparently I'll have to do some kind of test to see how good I am at formatting docs. I know I can do it, but I get all nervous if I know someone's watching me. Also, had decided that wasn't going to get overly dressed up, but then was talking to my friend here (my work mum!), who knows the lady who's nterviewing and she said, "oh she's always really suited and booted", so now I'm thinking, if the interviewer is someone who always wears a suit to work, if I don't wear a suit will that make a bad impression of me? argh!
If you're feeling mopey tell us about it! Lessen the load hunnibuns. Hope you feel better soon - sometimes the small things build up! Good luck for your interview hun - can never been overdressed for an interview hun, I brought out the shiny courtshoes this morning (even though they kill) and tights and evryfink! The interview was only for a fairly mundane team sec role that I'm not all that interested in but hey ho.
Anyway you'll be fine hun - I got a second interview at the company - so it pays off!
Wonder how Ruby's getting on? Long time no hear...End of 2010 I was £8,007.66 in debt

Happy Birthday RR!
Glad you had a good holiday Fuzzled, I liked New York but didn't have enough time to do everything, preferred Toronto (wasn't as busy)!! Been lurking too, as not had much offerings, nothing exciting. I am getting boring in my old age!
Have a good nite peeps xx0 -

Ooh, well done on the second interview, that's cool!
I guess I don't mean so much should I go smart, I was thinking of wearing trousers/skirt and smart top and heels. I just meant, do you think I really need to wear a suit? They don't really make me feel more confident, just make me feel like everyone's looking at me like I'm trying to play dress-ups like a 'grown-up'!much work to be done - new sig coming soon...0 -
Happy birthday Rosered!!! :A:A
Monkey - I would wear what you feel best in. In my experience (which admittedly, isn't overly vast), good looking hair (tidy, groomed, styled etc etc) make a HUGE impression. Get a good nights sleep, or make-up to cover any dark circles round the eyes - that kind of thing. SHe will glance at what you are wearing - BUT the whole interview she will be looking at you from the waist up - focussing on your head!!!
Was watching Dispatches the other night about a load of middle-class execs who are out of work - and seriously, the way they looked when they went for an interview..they would have had to do some VERY sweet talking to have got the job from me. Unshaven, tired looking (the men of course), and the lady - she had paid to have a manicure - but didn't seem to have brushed her hair. Its stuff like that which makes an impression - if someone can't be bothered to shave/brush their hair it gives out a bad signal.
OOPS have gone on a bit...:oOnward and upward - with the odd step to the side

OOooh- I have some interest on my slimming world books. Someone asked what I want 4 set as they will 'buy it now' and i have sent msg back saying £26.50 = p&p (silly money) and I'll see what they say0

Oh well- that didn't work. She sent one back saying that would be too much so I said- 'well at least bid what you think. I might be just dreaming at that price and you might get it anyway!' As long as someone bids!! :rotfl:0
